third party bans ....FYI

A couplethings that have happened and I have heard complaints about is what I would call a third-party ban. This is when an admin bans someone because another admin told them too. Don't do this. The only exception to this rule is if a PHXX member tells you to do it. PHXX would not do this unless the reason was final. Too many times have I heard of an admin tellinganother admin to ban someone "because he hacks"...or "constantly breaks the rules" . This is wrong. You, as an admin, must take a demo YOURSELF of the hacker before banning. This cuts into your playing time and is a pain in the ass I know. If you don't take the demo and submit it, that ban will be gone in 8 hours or less anyway and that player will be back on because he wasn't added to the global ban list.This is because the servers cycle. We want hackers gone forgood....the only way to make that happen is submit a demo. Also you must SEE FOR YOURSELF the player breaking the rules. Banning a person just because you don't like them is also not advised. Now I am not saying that you have to sit there and take a bunch of crap off a snot-nosed punk, but follow the rules in the "admin for dummies" that all admins received while dealing with this kind of problem. Most of you admins are doing a fine job, keep up the good work.
