Someone keeps stealing my in-game name.

I play on the 24/7 Assault servers regularly, DA and the East server, every day I can say safely.

Recently, some idiot has started to copy my name and mimick me and do illegal things in the game such as UV camp, and team flash while using my name, but with a space after it or before it so it looks like mine. I am always playing under the alias [¤Ç¤] Levski.

This has been going on for weeks now and I am sick and tired of it. There has been 2 admins who have warned and kicked the individual who keeps stealing my name but it doesn't help, he keeps doing it. I'm writing this post right now after playing for about 3 hours on the East assault server.

I've got many people who can vouch for me including 2 admins.

Please ban this individual because he keeps doing it over and over and not only is it an invasion of privacy, but he is fooling people into thinking that he is me, the real Levski.

I've got a screenshot as well of this person's steam ID and mine and he plays under the name Weertm lately, although he has been stealing other people's names as well.

How do you know who's the real one you ask? I always use my mic and obviously my voice is nothing like his, not to mention he doesn't use a mic. So if you see him, and he's not using his mic, then be aware that it's the fake one. Not to mention the steam IDs, as you will see in the picture below.



If you look closely at the picture, he has a space after Levski and therefore can easily be spotted. Just look at the chat messages, mine is right below his and you can see I don't have a space after my name.

Also, look at the 2 lines that I have marked with real and fake labels, you can see the space in his name and not in mine.

See the difference? The second one is me, the real one.

Please, I am asking you kindly, ban him from this server and all spawnpoint servers if possible because it really bothers me that someone would take the time to do this and I don't want to have people calling me names because of what some idiot has done under my name, which he has cloned.

I enjoy playing on these 2 servers every day and I don't want some idiot to ruin my fun and other's games because of his stupidity.

An admin from that server had kicked the person who was stealing mine and others' names and he said it was against the rules to steal other people's names and it seems quite obvious that it is.

How can you allow someone to take your name and mimick you? That is mistreating people and harassing them. Surely this is against the rules if you want to make the Spawnpoint servers "family friendly"?

If this is just let on to continue, then expect worse things to come because I wouldn't be surprised if he did something stupid like hack while stealing my name and get it banned and give me a bad name, which could even worsen the situation.

I am asking you admins, if you're not an admin do not post unless you have seen this happen, please do something about this as it happens EVERY day. That individual with that steam ID is on everyday and he won't stop.

Put yourself in my position, how would you like it if someone kept impersonating you and stealing your name to make you look bad infront of others?

The best thing to do would be to record some demos of this guy breaking our rules, he does that often enough and we will ban him. Send demos here:

i have seen this happen to levski - recently (this week) in hlsw there were several people with the name "levski" or "the real levski".

i warned them to not copy other peoples names (because, yes, that is a form of harassment and against the spawnpoint.com ToS) and while most obliged a couple had some snarky comments that led to them being kicked.

now that i am aware that this wasn't an isolated incident i will pop into assault east (or through hlsw) to make sure that everything is copesetic.

Guys, thanks a lot for your support.

I will be popping in and out for a few hours today as well, just like any other day to play and I guarantee you he will be there doing it again.

I have no idea why he does this to me and I've confronted him many times but to no avail.
