Multiple instances of admin abuse here from KGB members

Hello. I am here to report admin abuse regarding your KGB admins, whom I have heard are admins only because they donated.

It all began with targeting and taunting me after I died.

Your welcome to any of our servers, this incident is an excellent reporting of admin abuse.
There is NO RULE of 'vent camping not allowed', just implied. They went overboard.

I am sure you only included your side of the text, but this is a bit overboard for an admin.

This is a gross explanation of events from this afternoon. Shame you have no screenshot so that we can coral the other players who were there to voice their opinion of events. You were not targeted anymore than our clan target each other the phrase "sense of humour" springs to mind.

As Starlog said...the man did a good job reporting. There is enough their for a decision to be made. I'm missing something though. Where did Vent camping come from? Who made it illegal to camp anywhere?

As noted by Starlog the rule is something which has been implied up till this point and not documented. However, when your name is "Im Jeet I Camp Vents" evidently its clear u have a problem with vent campers, only to follow in their footsteps...

I believe this is a VERY good case for admin abuse. They (KGB) made a few players have a bad experience on a PHXX server. From now on, when these guys and their friends are looking through servers to play together, they will pass up every PHXX server on the list, and they will tell all of their friends to stear clear. This is a very upseting thing for me to see. I think these admins should be punished or even have their admin taken away. Unacceptable. [:@]

In my opinion, vent camping is allowed if it is not done to an excessive extent. Camping the vent for the initial minute of a round, then moving on, is acceptable.

Then again some peopel camp the vents every round, for 2-3 minutes, or until they die. If it becomes a problem and other players complain, I take minor actions to stop this.

I will warn 3 times
I will slap with 0 damage, once, then warn again
If all else fails, I will teleport the player back to the boxes right before the vent, if there are no CT's in the area that is.

The Joker along with most of the other admins at Spawnpoint Assault 24/7 are decent admins. Some of them may get a little carried away at times, but who doesn't. The console logs you posted are in no definable order, and technically cannot be used as evidence against any admins on this server. You could have easily changed and twisted the words around. Not that I am accusing you of this, I am just saying it is a possibility.

I have never heard of donating to become admins on Spawnpoint.net servers. I admin 4 of them, and I have never donated.

Though this is a well thought out report on 'abuse' I do not think it provides much valid information. However this is not my descision.

I stand by Joker in this case, and say he was not abusing his powers as admin. He probably just acted before he thought it through, and I am sure this won't happen again. As for the turning the player into a 'beacon'

That just looks like they are messing around, Zombie is a regular at the server, I am sure he diddn't really mind it.

I thought one of the jobs of the admins is to make sure everyone enjoys playing in the phxx servers so that more people will visit them. This admin abuse could stop people from coming to the sites of phxx.Who is to know what other abuse is going on in this server.

As far as I know, the whole vent camping thing was brought in because the CTs wouldn't stop complaining about it.

It's fair enough to say it's next to impossible to actually get through the vent with an upper vent camper in there. So then if we Ts say ok we will won't vent camp in order to make the game a bit more equal, I don't see why the Cts can camp up there for the remainder of the round without actually attempting to do their objective of rescueing the hostages.

If Terrorists aren't allowed to campupperventsaccording to Counter-Terrorists, I don't see why Counter-Terrorists should be allowed to. The terrorists can say they're guarding the vents which really is part of their objective.

I've seen most of the admins on the server and I have never seen one start slapping a player for just entering the vents.

I have seen admins slapping Cts for just sitting in the vent while the other 8 Terrorists are wasting their time checking the glitch spot and not actually finding him.

If a counter-terrorist gets in the vents, just waiting for terrorists to come through is boring and pointless.

And Doc Holliday laughs at almost anything. Sometimes I don't even know what he's laughing at. That can be scratched from being labeled as abuse.

And when Joker says noob down he's not specifically targetting anyone. He doesn't say it to just one person.

And reading Jeet's first bit of "proof", it says Joker killed him and said noob down.... Then Jeet complains
thats admin abuse.... I really don't think so.

Jeet then goes on about the F10 business. I've heard many people say it and no one ever complains. Joker or Bullseye have never slayed/slapped anyone for claiming F10 can give you something special.

Jeet then says he was a CT and waiting for the hostage room area to clear up.... Well one thing he needs to know is that when the terrorists know hes in there, they're aren't likely to back off.


Anyway this is getting long and vague so I'm going to add my last arguement:

For the last few days I have seen an "ad" that says "Vent caming is frowned apon"... It isn't very hard to not notice it and I have seen this I'm jeet I camp vents for several days. Not just 2 days.

I still dont see why any type of camping should bring an Admin response. Blocking a passageway,doorway ora vent just to hamper other playersis something else. Their are people that do stupid things like that. That has to be determined by the Admin after either getting complaints or seeing that behavior in person. We should be smart enough to tell the difference. It is not an admins right to hassle anybody but he is there to control the flow of the game.

I agree with what you are saying here, however, I'm sure you have played the map enough times and seen enough of the other players to know that A) The ct's have an objective to complete B) When everyone else is dead and u have a persistent camper on a map with an objective then a little cattle prodding is in order. If this isn't the case, would you expect the t's on dust or dust 2 to camp anywhere they like and pay no attention to planting the bomb?

In general I agree with you Ancient. For the most part an admin should not step in unless a player is doing something against physical rules (in other words, anything we could do in the real world). This would take the form of cheating and using map exploits. However, an admin does have to keep game play enjoyable for everyone. As such, I believe that when a player is intentionaly being an "ass", then the admin needs to do something. Being an "ass" includes blockingjust to piss off his/her teammates, flashing teammates intentionaly, camping or hiding in spawn when there is a job to do (Especially when this person is the last on the team. Everyone hates having to wait when this person should at least be trying.), and just about any kind of in-game spamming. The hard part is determing if a player is intentionaly being an "ass" or not, but that is where warnings come into play.
