admin abuse

playing css deathmatch " l a server" has gotten to 1 admin head that he plays god while playing dm player spninj4monkey
player i d steam 0:1:3371371
i dont appreaciate admin abuse such he displayed while playing against him for no apparent reason he put on admin slap on me til i die an with disregard of his responsibility as admin to play as example not to abuse admin power for his own resolve of his lack of ability to play well with others equal or better skill level
i suppose he did not like to be kill by me so many times in a row an he got up set after typing in that his abuse for no reason should be place at for front for
moderators to see that he preform poorly with no good judgement
now i play there often an had enjoy playing with serveral admins we all get along this one is quite another thing |

I'm sorry to hear about this incident if you have a demo or something we can look at I,m sure this matter will be resolved quickly. |

Please remember that if you are not drectly implicated in the incident you should not post in RAI threads.
Dammit, we are waiting for the admin inquestion to come and explain his behaviour. By the time, if you have any evidence (demo or screenshot), please submit it through the usual report a hacker link.

Dammit, i know exactly who you are reffering to and you have his steam ID wrong. I believe it is 13371337. He has been doing some stupid stuff lately. I also think you meant to say you were in the crackhouse deathmatch LA server. I have spoken to a couple of SP admins about this. It's not the first time he's done stuff like this and it is also likely that it won't be the last time. |

I'm the Admin in question. I'd like to make a formal apology. I'm very sorry for my actions. I've been getting a little frustrated lately with my computer crapping out and have been unfortunately taking it out on the players. I realize I shouldn't be doing so, and will refrain from those actions in the future. Very sorry for the inconvenience I have caused, and hope it hasn't had any permanent damage, seeing as all I did was slap you around a few times. ;)

Uhm.
Let's see. Trust is a complicated thing. When we accept admin requests, we are, by extension, placing our trust in that individual. We expect our admins to keep their personal lives and their "working" lives separate in order to do their job to a defined standard. The powers admins are given are, and are only for, ensuring an enjoyable and "clean" experience on the servers. Using these powers when they are not needed ... is an issue, to say the least.
I'm sure there's more, but I'm far too tired and far too distracted to deal with this/think about this right meow. Senior admins, if you have anything else to add or have your own input, feel free to do so. Everyone else, please refrain from posting unless you're directly involved.

im glad for the positve reponse of our fourm an gobal moderators for at least bringing such things as abusive admin for whatever reasons
to not to go on to me or others they to me make experience in spawnpoint servers a good an positive
i dont know how to demo actions such as admin slaps in demo while its happen to me
now as far as him being sorry for incidents may he be place in a watchful eye for future misdeeds
an if he learn from this turely he could possibly turn out in time to be a great admin like his comrades

Taking demo's is a fairly easy task. Once you have the console enabled, you press the tilde button (~) which is right below ESC. Once you have the console opened, and you are in spectator mode watching the person you would like to record a demo of, you type the word record "playername". Once you feel you have sufficient footage, simply type stop. The demo will then be saved into the main folder under cstrike.
If you're on Windows 7 OS the way you navigate to this folder is through Program Files (x86)>Steam>steamapps>YOURACCOUNTNAME>counter-strike source>cstrike then find the file that you recorded. The extension will be DEM. All you have to do from there is upload.

One of the easiest ways to deal with just about any issue is to call in a senior admin (some of us, like myself, have no life and are usually on or around their computers) to deal with it personally.
Feel free to add me on Steam (if you don't have me already) and bug me whenever you have an issue or a question or just like to talk. I have Steam on my Laptop, so even when I'm not at home (and should be paying attention in class) I should be able to drop in for a few minutes to fix loose screws.
Failing that, demos are a good option. To dish out any form of punishment, we require evidence; word of mouth is nice, but it doesn't work here. Again, thanks for bringing this to our attention; we're currently discussing this in secret rooms deep beneath the surface of the Earth... :) |
