SpawnPoint - Where Game Begins

Hi.

This might be in the small things department for some of you.
But for me it is not.


I have beeen playing on the server regually (daily basis) the recent month.
I achiewed rank 2 with 2600 kills and like 800 deaths.
And my objective is to become rank nr 1 on your server.

Yesterday when i was saying rank on Spawnpoint Assault my rank was nr 2, and as it used to be.. (as the latest i played with the only 2 admins WOnder and ANdy yesterday evening, and therefore it is one of them. Go check server logs if you disagree, furthermore i got a vitness who can approve what i am saying is correct.

WHen i joined the server today i realized my rank as the ONLY one has been resat.

One might say it is because i have been away from the server for more than 7 days, (your limet for rankreset due to inactivity). But that i can tell is not the case.

I am very sure that it is either Andy or Wonder who has abussed their administrational-rights for saying ma_resetrank mysteamid.
Because that thought it was funny spoiling what i have been working for the recent month.

Fact is i am back to basics and have to start ALL OVER.

I have NOT asked them to reset my rank, nor i have been offensive to them in any way.



THIS IS NOT OK and i really want to see some action from Spawnpoint.
Being an admin and use administrational rights to Spoil what a player has worked for in more than a month is simply not to be accepted.

The ranking plugin on this server was made by a community member, Drifter, and I doubt admins have the ability to reset ranks. Maybe it is a bug. If Drifter sees this message he will probbaly post if he finds a reason why your rank was deleted.

It is used on many servers because it is a popular plugin made by Drifter and i believe he has uploaded it to a site such as alliedmodders allowing other servers to use it.

This is a bug that has been around for a while, and happens to the odd person and i don't know if a proper reason as to why it is happening has been found. It happens to many people on the assault server. It has seemed to be caused by a common few reasons, such as being kicked/banned, changing of your name, or an abnormal disconnect. Also i believe there is something to do with data being corrupted on map change that results in ranks not being stored. Like Sky said Drifter will probably be able to give you more insight into why your rank was reset but admins do not have the ability to reset ranks.

Admins can't reset other players his/her rank. (not that I know of)
Nevertheless, it's good to see you ask around but instead of right away accusing players, you could also have asked it more subtle.
Also Andy & Wonder don't have an Admin status on Spawnpoint Assault.

This issue is a bug, and it overcomes randomly players. I've had it a couple of times aswell.
The only trigger I can imagine is during the map change (leaving).
I'm paying attention to it lately to see when it occurs.

You'll have to play and earn it like everybody else have to, when they loose their rank.

Dash, guest admins have no ability to reset rank, as stated earlier in this thread. It's not that big of a deal, actually; rank is rank, there's no real life application for it. Just take it as a challenge to get yourself back up to that sport you once held.
