SpawnPoint - Where Game Begins

I feel like i have never seen him on recently and maybe he has been away from the server for a while and felt the need to reestablish his authority?? Not sure but still i feel it was uncalled for

To begin things, I was playing on the server, awping along with nobody complaining. Sometime in the middle of that, you decide to start attempting to knife players. After failing to knife me for I don't know how many times and getting killed, you call me a noob for using the awp all of the time and imply that "i'm mad" with one of your comments. I ignore you until you proceed to become annoying with the whining about me, telling me I must be new to this server, and not knifing with you and instead killing you, so I typed in admin chat to watch your mouth. At some point, you claimed that I threatened to ban you, which I did not, but I sarcastically commented that "I could ban you with I want." I never did threaten to ban you - you were the one making false assumptions with my "watch your mouth" statement. You continued to argue with me by insisting that I was being an uncooperative jerk for not knifing with you, to which I replied that if you wanted to knife, go to a knife server. Yet you continued to argue with me about "claiming not to whine about awps and getting shot" when you clearly were whining for 20 minutes while at least 3 other players were of the same opinion that you were being a stubborn idiot. Eventually, I gave up trying to argue with your apparent lack of logic, and yet you continued to try to make a point where there was none to make, prolonging the argument and annoying everyone, especially me since it was directed towards me, on the server. So I banned you for a day because you were clearly being argumentative and annoying over a situation that you precipitated.

It seems like the fact that i ignored admin when he told me to shut up basically is the reason i got banned. But if this is to prove true then that would mean that thiis admin has the power to ban whoever he wants simply because he doesnt like what they have to say even if it is a completely appropriate thing to say. This i believe is an abuse of power, banning someone should be selective and with good judgment. People make observational comments all the time about my game and i dont take it personally because it is a GAME. Thank you again for allowing me to say what i had to say. That is all i wanted to do in the first place prior to getting banned.

I believe a conclusion can reached from what you have both explained. From the sounds of it, you were both involved an an incident that maybe got a little excessive. Zeeha being antagonizing towards iChibi, and iChibi not doing enough to prevent it. I am going to have Zeeha unbanned as I see his time out has been sufficient enough. However I want to leave you both with a few pointers so this doesnt happen again.

Zeeha, I have played with you before and I am familiar with your enthusiasm towards knifing. I also know how frustrating it can be playing against iChibi when he AWPs , and I can also understand how it might upset you in that situation specifically. I also realize that jabs here and there are a part of crackhouse, but when it gets to the point where it is detrimental to the server gameplay, the admin will have every right to do what he/she needs to do to cease it. It is also your responsibilty to be mature and compliant, and as long as you do so, you will rarely have a problem with an admin.

iChibi, while you may have been justified in warning and taking action against Zeeha, the way you went about doing it can be improved. Remember you are in control of what happens and there is usually no reason to have a back and forth argument with a player. Remember to utilize mute, kick and then ban as your solution. 99% of the time muting/silencing is enough to solve a problem. Also, if it gets to the point where a ban is felt imminent or necessary, record a demo so you have firm standing ground for your actions. There is only so much that can be done in a "he said, they said" argument.
