I was banned on april 12,2011 at around 10pm. i dont know why i was banned and would like to know the details as to why it happened.

I banned you for a suspicion of having no-recoil. The demo will be submitted and reviewed, and a concrete conclusion will be set then. I will ask it be reviewed as soon as possible and you should have an answer within the next 24 hours. If it is found inconclusive you have my sincerest apologies, and in the meantime, thank you for the polite appeal.
Admins and guests please refrain from posting if not directly involved.

Thank you for the speedy reply and for taking good care of your servers hacker wise. however, i dont think its right that someone is banned before any evidence is reviewed and administrators only act on a feeling. it is very inconvenient especially to those that are not culpable for whatever the offense may seem to be. this is just an expression on the behalf of those feel the same way i do. thank you for reading this. |

I saw this all go down i spectated you and you shot at people for like a few minutes and your crosshair didnt get anybigger, plus ive noticed the bullet holes were all in the same place and thats how i got suspisous, cpnichol will decide to revoke the ban or not |

Well ive been playing cs for around 3 to 4 years. all i can really say is i have learned how to control the spray. however i am not consistent since i only play for fun. that does make it seem like i may toggle. i dont blame anyone for being suspicious of that. i dont think its enough to be bannable prior to a full review of the evidence. thank youfor your time.

Occurances like this happen all the time: sometimes something that looks artificial might be nothing more than you and your mouse. It's, on occasion, impossible to tell and, while it may be an inconvience for the few cases where we're wrong, it's necessary in the cases that we're right. Having the same policy for everyone ensures that everyone is treated equally; those who are found to innocent will be unbanned and will be able to rejoin the servers, and those who aren't, well, they will have to find somewhere else to play.
Unfortunately, Warp, it's not as easy as just talking to Shift. You've banned and submitted a demo, and that demo will be reviewed by the ACT team before a decision is made on the status of this player's ban.
So, in the mean time, you'll have to wait until the Anti-Cheat Team looks at the demo and makes their decision. If you are innocent, well then you have nothing to worry about. Again, it's inconvenient, I know (I've banned myself, before), but it's just standard procedure. |

All i want is a speedy trial. haha. In all seriousness, i am not guilty of any anti recoil hacks. i hope administrators are able to determine that from the demo. however, i am worried since you( Tullsy) say it is impossible to tell whether it is only me and my mouse or some sort of hacks. that means it can go either way and thats not very good odds for me. i really enjoy playing on your server which is one of the few that still has a fair amount of player activity and would really be a bummer if the wrong decision is made. please take the time to choose wisely. thank you all. |

We've reviewed the demos and found them to be inconclusive. Your ban has now been removed.
It was rather a odd one, in the first demo there was indeed no recoil, even though that didn't seem to affect where the bullets went. In the next demo the recoil looked perfectly normal, even when it was recording exactly the same gameplay that was in the first demo. So the only conclusion we can come to is that it was some in game glitch that made it appear as if you had no recoil.
I have encountered something similar years back, I was watching a player and noticed there didn't seem to be any recoil but when I specced the other players it was the same for them too.
So it was a genuinely honest decision from the admin in response to something that definitely didn't look right. My advice to admins if they encounter anything similar is to be cautious with the ban button and make sure to spec other players on server (getting that on demo too) to see if it's just the one player or just the game being weird.
