Why am I banned?

Hi, my name is Gedam. I recently just got back into playing counter-strike source and realized I am banned from at least 2 SPAWNPOINT servers and was inquiring why?

I don't hack and never have gotten banned for it. I haven't played counterstrike in a year and can't remember even going on your server. Thanks.

I checked and you are on our GBL for "obnoxious mic spamming" that was done on 8/30/2007. We will discuss this and review the demo. Obviously over the top mic spamming is against the rules and should not come as a shock to you that we would ban people for that. Whether or not we decide to lift this ban will go off of what evidence we have as well as current Spawnpoint policy.

Current policy states that such an offense would require more than one demo. As we only had one demo submitted, this would not be enough to make your ban more than just temporary. In the past, this was different. We have decided to lift your ban and mitigate the length to time served. Let us know if you have trouble connecting to any of our servers as sometimes simply deleting the GBL entry is not completely effective.

Now....we fully expect that you will NOT choose to be an "Obnoxious mic spammer" anymore. If we get another demo of that, you will be put back on the ban list and further appeals denied.
