| Religion Yes.. Yes he did. Weaver has added the most controversial subject possible to the forums. Consideration and politeness is expected - though heat is expected as well. |

Physics tells us that energy cannot be destroyed, only transformed. Let's assume for a moment then that the energy that keeps us alive, the energy that stores our memories, the energy that makes the heart beat, that recalls our every moment, every love or hate, every dream or desire, every victory or defeat, every action of our lives that builds a life force, an energy. YOUR energy, YOUR life experience, is what makes YOU unique in this Universe. No other living thing has your energy, or as some believe --- YOUR soul.
Here's the question: If energy cannot be destroyed, only transformed... what do you believe happens to life's energy when the physical body dies? ~A |

Let me ask another question to begin to examine your own question.
You expend energy every moment of every day. This energy is translated into heat energy which translates into work which applies to objects outside of your body. If energy is your soul.... are you constantly creating new soul and expelling it?

Prime... of course you don't know what happens, no one does. Not looking for what you think you know, rather what you believe. If you don't have a belief system, then simply share what you'd like to see happen after life.
Weaver... There are many forms of energy, heat being just one. I would like to believe that the answer to your question is yes. That we expel energy and expand the life force with every word we speak, every thought we share. From one mind to another, from one's own life experience to another's. Your question runs a bit deeper and there's more to say, but I'd like to see if anyone else has any thoughts to share before elaborating. ~A |

I'll go out on a limb and say that the "soul" or "life force" continues on after physical death. if there is no after, why?

My answer to you Atrus is that I feel every thing is connected. The more and more I read about Quarks and Muons and the way the microscopic universe works.. the interconnectedness. The fact that two electrons can have pairs that react and mirror each other no matter the distance is amazing. Quantum physics tell us that there is an almost infinite amount of space between every bit of matter.. but at the same time, the energy behind every piece of matter finds ways to manipulate other bits of energy 1000's of light years away instantaneously.
How much of our soul remains as a single combined entity when we die? I do not know. I have hopes! But I have no doubt that what is my soul will continue on into eternity in one form or another (or a billion pieces).

Whoa... almost forgot about this thread.
More connections than we can possibly imagine, I suspect."Connections" reminds me of the BBC documentary by the same name, hosted by Richard Burke. Good stuff. Prime... ever been listening to a radio station or watching TV and you get bleed over from another station. If everything really is connected, then ask your self this question. Along the bandwidth of energy what is the frequency of life, and then what is the frequency of death. Could it be that people who sense past lives are simply getting bleed over from another energy source? More questions looking for answers - more food for thought. ~A |

well as i learnt in biology.. when something dies it returns to the lithosphere.. the sphere that encircles our earth that has all the DNA stuff in it, and all the minerals and proteins of dead animals, plants and even humans..
i may have got part of that wrong as i dont listen a great deal but that caught my attention a little..
