I am Maronite. Its a church based in the middle-east. We follow the catholic bible and the pope as we don't have a "maronite" bible! Same beliefs and everything but we go to church for 30 mins instead of an hour and change. Unlike california here in South Carolina, they don't have a maronite church so we go to a catholic one. and thats that

Thou Shalt Not Kill !

The Bible tells us quite plainly , "We will know them by their works" !

True Christians , I mean those who follow and observe the teachings of Christ do not kill , becasue they , would understand that their eternal soul may be lost for that action !

Remember Christ is not returning as a helpless little baby this time .He is comming to judge all of mankind . He has written on His vesture "Lord Of Lords And King Of Kings ...The sword he carries cuts both ways .
That sword is "TRUTH" ... And we all have access to that sword...The Living Bible ....

You might ask , Well how do we know which Bible is the right one ?
It's the one that is translated word for word from the original Greek , Hebrew and Aramaic manuscripts....The King James Bible ...oh there are a few mistakes in it as well ....but it is the most accurate....

Anyone who kills innocent men , women or children that are not bearing arms , is a murderer . This includes anyone who drops a bomb killing innocents . Even following orders is not an excuse for murder . Just becasue someone tells you to kill someone , won't cut it at the final judgement as an excuse !
Islamic terrorists who blow themselves and innocent people up ,in the name of God , are doing the exact opposite what Jesus taught and what God stands for . The Bible tells us that there is "no forgiveness in the flesh" for a person who knowingly takes another's life of one not bearing arms .

There is no political , geograghical , moral , religious ,or any other excuse for taking a mans life .

Richard Dawkin's explains how our inner morality meter is linked to evolution much more comprehensively then I would ever hope to. I suggest you read or watch some of his debate as he is probably the most logical person you could ever meet.

Well I'm Muslim. Don't really pray and all, I should but I don't. I plan on starting soon. Also, don't come at me with this "Islam=terrorism" crap, it doesn't. Muslims believe in peace and in fact, suicide is looked down upon in Islam, anyone who is to have commited suicide is automatically sentenced to hell.

Im not a religous guy but if somebody asks I say I'm a Muslim (depending on the curcumstances) - e.g. If I'm drinking or smoking I won't say I am a Muslim because it brings down other people's opinions of Muslims I think enough people do that already with all the terroism crap thats going on. I don't practise although I used to due to being brought up by religous parents.

Personally I feel that its your own choice and people should not be judged by there religion.

About the terroists though I do not agree with there acts (before anyone asks) but if you look into the muslim history of the world you will notice that they feel as though they have no other way to fight back against stronger nations, as they have been oppressed for many years by a number of people and everytime they try to do something to come back Guantanamo Bay - E.g. One of my bosses ran for MP in London 3 years ago and was thrown in there for "Attempting to spread Terroism" although if you actually met the guy you would realise that he was sound. (Islamic Relief the biggest non-profit charity in the UK (yes thats right there bigger then Oxfam etc.))

Sorry for the rant there but I love em

This is true, As per the Qura'an anyone who commits an act of suicide or continues in an action which results in self harm is sentenced to hellfire without questions. Although Z3RO the terroists themselves see this Suicide bombing as an act to free there countries of opposing threats as per the Qura'an again it states that if anybody tries to take the land of a Muslim from them they should do everything within there power to stop them.

I do agree that Suicide Bombing is wrong because your hurting the people that have not hurt you. If they were to continue suicide bombing they should only target those in the countries that are affecting them and not take out civilians. My brother was caught up in the London Bombings he was on one of the tubes between both stations and under the bus, He was then Jailed for 2 months before they let him out because he had all the Stop the War badges on his bag and would attend all the peace protests - Also worked for Islamic Relief.

I understand what you are saying but if you read more into other religions other than just that of Christianity and also look into the history of each religion in more depth then reply I would be grateful, rather then comparing the teachings of one religion with the actions of other religions.

Also I do agree that the bombers are in the wrong before everyone thinks I support them hehe. Read up I have ranted to much on this thread already :P

Im a firm atheist but Richard Dawkins is to simply put it a moron!
He attacks crude, rabble-rousing chancers like Ted Haggard, Jerry Falwell and Pat Robertson, rather than facing up to sophisticated theologians like Bonhoeffer or the Archbishop of Canterbury.

Dawkins is an embarressment to atheists. You will find that most critisicm of his work comes from atheists rather than christians. In the God delusion Dawkins simply presents us with another dogmatic fundamentalism.
Many are disturbed by Dawkins's crude stereotypes and seemingly pathological hostility towards religion. In fact, The God Delusion might turn out to be a monumental own goal - persuading people that atheism is just as intolerant as the worst that religion can offer.
Similarly his other books such as the Root of all evil have been panned for their subsequent unfairness. People asked where the christians response to his arguments were, the answer was on the cutting room flaw.
Dawkins furiates me we need to treat those who disagree with us with intellectual respect, rather than dismissing them - as Dawkins does.

Dawkins claims his arguments are the most logical, I however would argue it is most logical to follow a religeon as anyone who has come across Pascals wager may realise.( Even though the existence of God cannot be determined through reason, a person should "wager" as though God exists, because so living has potentia
