A question.

Well, I feel a little embarrassed to be asking you this, but I am 16 now and my mom died when I was 5, so I really got no woman to talk to now about this stuff. I have never really imagined myself having problems with woman, but I guess I got a small one haha. I have some problems going up to chicks and holding a conversation. What can I do?

I'm so sorry that you lost your mom at such a young age. There's no need to feel embarrassed - that's why we have this forum!

There's really not much mystery in talking to girls. You really can just talk to us like you talk to any of your other friends. As I have recommended in other threads, it is always best to be yourself. Being a teenager is hard - always has been, and I imagine it always will be. You go through so many changes, physical, emotional, hormonal, etc. All at the same time you are preparing to move from the realm of childhood to adulthood. Everyone is unsure of themselves at this point in life. Girls and boys alike.

Just relax, be yourself and try not to make a big deal out of talking to girls. Being genuine and friendly goes a long way.

I agree with you there Nikki to a certain point. You do have to generate an interest if those are your intentions... The genuin part right, try to BS and they will find out and bust on it then the "trust" is gone and your SOL.

There is alot of maturity in your post Nikki but for a 16 or 14 (Slayer44) yrs old it could be to bland. We don't want the big brother stigma on them either if they're looking for a relationship. Getting to know her on a mental and emotional level will have a much better chance of succeeding in a meaningful relationship. Wether it gets to the next level or not at least you have a unique bond with that person. On that note, if it does not get to the next level then you also have a "confidante" which she will be honest to you and give you great advise... even hook you up with someone.

Best advice. Find something you have in common and build from there. Introduce yourselves to the different parts of your invidual worlds. Alot of gamers are seen as geeks/nerds until they show the complexity and knowledge that they have and they are labeled as intelligent, which goes a long way (more as you will get older) and show your talent for something that applies to her. Do not make the mistake of labeling yourself (like Nikki says, they can smell it from a mile away).

I closing. Be yourself (as per Nikki) but show how you are a benefit to her, stand out from the guy next to you however you have to be genuin and sincere in your projections (who you are). I am not just blowing smoke. I'm hitting the market again after almost nine years with my wife (very amicable and it was a joint decision) which we went from friends, to married to being even best friends... I still feel like I have a successful relationship. It's just on another level. Now I will be taking the advice posted (everybodies) and start over if I meet the right woman.
