Hi Nikki

There's this girl I like at work, and I'd like to know what you think of our situation.

She's called Alex, and she's absolutely gorgeous. She has such a nice personality too, and she has a law degree. So she's perfect in my eyes. Beautiful, smart, funny and awesome to be around.

She knows she's hot though, and she knows she has all the guys after her. She likes the attention and she can get a bit flirty on the occasion. We've spoken about what we want in the future though, and she does want to settle down with someone, and she's never cheated on anyone. The thing is, she's really physical with me. We're always hugging, she sits on my lap etc, and she even gave me a kiss the other night. I've never seen her like this with any other guy, obviously except her ex. Sure she flirts, but not as much as she lays on me, and I duly reciprocate. We jokingly made wedding plans the other night, apparently I have to come to her castle on a white horse, rescue her from the evil clutches of Prince Schwarzenegger, and whisk her away to the chapel to get married, haha!

What should I make of this though? I mean, she's perfect, she's WAY out of my league. What would a girl like her see in a nerd like me? I don't wanna ask her out, and make her think I'm like all the other guys, but at the same time, I wanna get things off my chest

well the best thing to be would be to go slow and dont rush into it, dont throw your self at her but do as much as she does. Maybe you could ask if she wants to go for a drink somewhere? or go out some time? (btw how old are both of you? lol) just she if she wants to go out somewhere, have a bit of fun and enjoy your selfs, see where that takes you.

Now dont go rushing into asking anything unless you think its right and you feel comfortable around her and so on. Now when you do ask, make sure you say it clear and once, i asked my or tried to ask mine 5 times, 6th time lucky , kept wimping out lol and she knew i was trying to but didnt help me along when i asked or anything lol. Women like to play games like that lol.

also dude, what girl would like a nerd liek you? or me? well my gfs smart, beautiful, into like rock, walking and cycling and so on, had boys after her when i was friends with her and so on. Im a computer geek through and through, i play games, i keep snakes and other exotic pets and im a petrol head into heavy metal. We are still together after nearly 2 years, so it shows, some women like nerds

What would a girl like her see in a nerd like me?

If you are worried about asking her out on a date, ask her out for a cup of coffee, lunch or a drink after work as a friend, and see where things go from there. She may just have a flirty personality (some girls do), or she may be developing feelings for you too. My worry is that if you don't talk to her about how you feel about her, you will start to feel uncomfortable around her and it will affect your friendship.

I know I say this a lot - but communication is key. I'm not suggesting that you start out by telling her you are madly in love with her, just feel her out a bit and see what kind of vibe you get from her.

Thanks for the advice guys

I wasn't selling myself short as such, but we differ to each other quite a lot. She's really classy, went to a private school, lives with her parents in a rich area, and I'm a working class, public school dropout who spends all his time on or inside his computer. We have different music tastes etc. At the same time though, we do have a lot in common, a list of stuff escapes me, but I'm sure it's not totally important.

She does have a flirty personality, but like I mentioned, she seems to lay it on thicker with me.

I'll test the water a little, ask her out for a drink and see how it goes.
