Sexual Stereotypes

I never had sex becuase of peer pressure becuase it was "cool" or anything. But what about this new stereotype I have to deal with? I am in the military now, and almost all you hear is that, "Oncethe soldiergets back from a tour of duty, someone is getting pregnant." Can I just ignore this type of assumption, is it just a more advanced case of peer pressure?

Will I become thiswild hound after I get off my ship, is it something I can easily deal with?

While I do believe that this is another form of peer pressure or stereotype, I will tell you that my sister's husband is in the Army and they have 3 kids that are were born 2003, 2004 and 2005. As my dad so aptly put it "They do know what causes that now".

As long as you use care to be responsible during any sexual relationships you may have upon the end of your tour, you should not fall into this stereotype. Just take your time and protect yourself and your partner.

all i can say chris is when my father got back from navy after 3 year tour.

well lets just say theirs 5 kids including me hes got now since then, all roughly around that time.

The first thing a soldier does when on leave is procreate whether its intentional or not.....just be happy you made it back and not worry about living up to the stereotypes and be thankful you lived up to the George Washington standard of living up to defend ur country :P

Oh, I have not gone anywhere yet. I am just preparing myself so I don't have child support payments when I get back. Besides, where I am going will not be too epic. I am going to be on an aircraft carrier doing a whole lot of nothing all day.
