i have many homoosexual friends (for you ignorant people, that is, gays/bi's/lesbains) and we have all come to an agreement that the wierdest thing in human nature has occurred.

Well, you know how all the gay guys tend to hang out with the girls, and the lesbian girls tend to hang out with the guys, and the bi's are just left in their own group. well I was thinking, why is it this way. Is it becasue lesbians are more masculine, or gays are more feminine, no offence, but if you are gay, you have outer sexual organs, likewise for lesbians, so, whats so differnt

I belive strongly in individuality, and i am not gay might i add, but i think that all should be welcomed by all. I personally have felt persecution in my own country, but why should something natural be so, persecuted for lack of a better word. can't we indoctrine our kids about how normal homosexuals are rather than teaching them how evil they are

we should all be open, natural, and help each other without hurting each other, each of us has our flaws (except me, lol) but some may not be flaws in the eyes of others

not all gay people act femenine, there a lot of masculine gay people, i know one myself and he has many male friends (they know not to sleepover though! ) joke..

you cant stereotype homosexual people into having their own groups i know many that hang around with anyone..

and if theres someone teaching someone about how evil gay people are then thats called homophobia and should be dealt with.. i will admit i have no read the bible, the torah or any holy book but can you show me where it says 'thou shalt not be gay?'

Okay here we go...

I can kinda see how you're noticing certain patterns in "clicks". I mean, sure, I could see how a lesbian would possibly feel more comfortable being "one of the guys", or a gay man being "a girl's best friend". But really, it's not really fair for anyone to go and label them to all be that way, and what difference does it make?

Every individual, regardless of their sexuality, is entitled to have their comfort zone as far as circle of friends. Don't you find it a tad bit judgmental to say that they all do that? What does it really have to do with anything?

As far as homosexuality/bisexuality, it's not like people just wake up one day and make the decision to be attracted to same sex people. They just can't help it. I should know, I've always been attracted to women, as far as I can remember, I was about 14-15 when I realized it. I never known anybody lesbian, nor did I grow in an environment promoting sex, of any genre.

I had/have all kinds of friends, a group of girls, and a group of guys and girls, and a group of guys. I was just everybody's friend really. It doesn't define my bisexuality, nor is it defined by who my friends are. It's clearly has nothing to do with it at all. People just click with similar personalities and interest groups.

So really, I'm not sure where you're trying to get with this thread...

I am not prejudiced against gays/lesbians, however, I will not teach my children that it is normal.

If they should come across it in their travels, I will tell them to treat each person with courtesy and respect, regardless of preference.

Being homosexual is not normal at all. I agree with titan, i would never ever teach my children to see homosexuals as normal but i will tell them to treat everyone with respect.

See here's the crux. In the 1960's only 2% of people surveyed thought it acceptable to live with a partner out of wedlock. What percentage is that today do you think?? Are a verly large percentage of modern "couples" therefor abnormal???

In the 1960's i'd assume that the vast majority of people were against "same sex" relationships. How many do you reckon it is today??

In my experience it appears as though gay guys hang out with gals for "comfort" reasons. They feel less threatened or intimidated in a female circle. The same can be said for "gay women".....

good point Raven. times change, as do people change. 50 years ago we treated african americans WORSE than we treat gay people today. and just because you say to your kids treat them with respect while at the same time whispering "theyre not normal, theyre an abomination" thats NOT right. not right AT ALL. MLK JR just rolled over in his grave. thats part of why i gave up on organized religion. no one can think for themselves anymore, unless they break from the collective thought of organized religion, and realize that people are people. so what if their preference is considered abnormal or wierd. they are STILL people. they still deserve equality.

i'm sorry guys, but if being homosexual was not normal, I would have made the decision one day that that's how I was gonna be. It's a natural process. And 1 out of 10 people are homosexual, or bi. That's alot of people. Just because you don't feel attracted to the same sex, it doesn't mean you have to alienate it like it's a condition or something.
