Valentines Gift and Date Ideas

Personally, I would really enjoy the following; being spoiled, but not with presents.

A spa day as a couple - either both go get spoiled at the local spa, OR, do a home-made spa experience - aromatherapy (vanilla, musk are good scents, being an aphrodesiacs... cough... smile), massage oil, candles for ambiant relaxing atmosphere, mudmasks, manicure and pedicure kits, maybe even a nice fragrant bubblebath(if you have the right kind of bath-tub for it). sounds like something that would be fun, aspecially when you both pamper eachother( I mean, the guy doesn't have to wear nailpolish lol)

You can add her favorite flowers as a little something extra, and cook off their favorite meal, or go eat out.

I loved Phil's explanation of "why not." That is EXACTLY what I would think if my wife spend all that money on flowers that die for me.

Evil I'm on it...mine are black pearls though and won't wind up with me sleeping on the couch.

Actually I am torn on bday vs. vday. Her birthday is on the first and vday is two weeks later. I am trying to figure out what to do for both occasions without having either be a letdown :/. This 6 week period had xmas, bday, vday AND she graduated from law school...broke dwinx

As far as Fire is concerned...you and only you would know what your girl is like and what she likes. You'd have to come up with something pretty clever because from what you've told me so far she's pretty special.

I will not get to see her on valentines day. I go to school in Michigan, she goes to school in Chicago. while I would love to, its not possible. Long distance relationships suck at times

ideas for those that can however - when I take her on a date we usually start out at Beaners (now Biggby) for a quick latte and some discussion, lasts about 2 hours usually. Then we go to dinner at an inexpensive Mexican place called O'Kellys (sounds Irish, its mexican. trust me). Then we go to the park and talk an walk around for a few hours. Then its back to her house for some boardgames and more talking.
Talking is easier if you are not physically involved, we have not gone farther then hug in the 1.8 years we have been dating. It actually draws you closer as you can talk more.
