I am not sure if this is true or not, due to the fact my sister told me :P, just was wondering if anyone knows if this is true, and if it is any other information on it.

Well anyways, my sister said that Bush has been working on (not building just plotting) building a bridge between Mexico and Canada, and planning to have Canada, America, and Mexico united info the Union of America, or something like that.

Again, not sure if it's true, so just looking for some clarification.

Your sister successfully tricked you.

There is not even a shred of truthiness behind those statements. The " Union of America" is at least a bit less far fetched than the bridge, as NAFTA exists. NAFTA is a union of countries of the Americas' but it is not political. NAFTA is a trade union that promotes free trade between the Americas.

hrmmm.. While I agree with your response, there has been multiple national thinktanks that continue to propose and manipulate towards a united North America. There have been groups with this cause in mind since the early 1800's.

Sam Houston was among them - and now we have Texas, California, New Mexico, and Arizona all formed from Mexico.

In a 100 years from now, I expect so tight economic integration with Mexico and most of Canada, it won't matter that they are separate countries.

I see no reason why Bush wouldn't spend billions of our dollars to build a highway between Mexico and Canada with a "let them deal with the aliens" attitude.

Also when the word "bridge" was used, I'm sure it didn't literally mean a 1,000 mile bridge between mexico and canada...bridge as in 'gateway'...highway.

There is enough racial tension and prejudice as it is, by making America one united nation would bring up even more racial tension as people would be forced to coexist with one another. Maybe not with Canada and the US, but certainly with some people in the US with Mexico.

I have talked to my dad about it, and it seems its real, not in motion, but he wants to do it. The main point would be to have the ease of paying Mexican truck drivers to deliver goods at a cheaper rate then paying American truckers. It is yet another plot to get rich. Personally, I doubt it is going to happen, because both the U.S and Canada would not want it.

Why? If you follow the American Mentality you expect people to learn your language.

Anyways, the only language I see Americans possibly having to learn is Spanish. Canadians already speak English.

I am not worried about languages.. nor 'cheaper' services from Mexican truckers.

Cheaper = Good. Cheaper = Efficiency.

And - long term - the mexican trucker will demand more and more $ until they are not cheaper.

Other point i dont think americans and canadians would co-exsist in the same nation hapily. The ultimate dream of "Manifest Destiny" is all to reall. Think of this if NA was all linked togther you think the businesses will grow?........No i wouldnt think so and who would want to have it linked.... I like the way NA is now and i would preffer it stay that way (Except for our doller i want that to be way stronger than yours).





BTW anyone tried the I-doser i have this cocain thing and it is seeriously weird when i read this in the moring im gonna realise how messed up this was.
