Default How Many Years Do We Have Left...

.. until the ozone catches up with us..
and we all burn alive.
Or we drown from the glaciers melting.
CONSPIRACY?

What do you think..

Well, since we will run dry of oil in less than 50;
A) the process of destruction will slow down...
B) Armageddon.

The more I think of it, the more I'm sure it will be "B".

so you believe that seeing as we will run out of oil soon, therefore that will reduce the green house gas emissions and make global warming no threat to us anymore?

what about all the coal burning plants?
i don't think we'll run out of coal

80 years our current efforts are widening the spectrum bit by bit, but if we continue to damage the Earth its not gonna be a nice place to live for very much longer.

What's this? No faith?

=P I've discussed this a bit with my friends in the past, and while I didn't put as much literal analysis into it as you guys did (you're too smart... BLAST! lol), I honestly think we'll survive well over another 110 years. If by "we" you mean mankind, that is. lol

If by we, you mean the United States... I dunno. I would estimate the United States' downfall to happen within the next 50 years, max. I seem to be less educated on this sort of topic, based on reading the other replies here, but I think my theory has some strength to it. Look at empires of the past. Some people wouldn't call the USA an "empire" but I think it's as close we have to one in the world today. Anyway, what was it that brought about the eventual downfall of empires throughout history? I would say greed. Greed for money, power, and conquest, and I guess the three of those sort of go hand-in-hand. Ever heard the phrase "The Sun never sets on the British empire"? I honesty don't remember when this was, but at one point, Great Britain controlled countries on every single continent in the world. Basically, at any given moment of any day, it was daylight in a part of the world that Britain controlled. They continued the drive for more, and it brought about their downfall, in a way. Sure, England is still around, but the country might be considered a shadow of its former self.

It seems to me that ever since WW1, the United States has been working to dip its hand in every pot around the world. We currently have permanent military installations in North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Asia, the middle east, the Pacific islands nations, Africa, and Greenland (which I guess falls under Europe?). I guess this might be considered a conspiracy theory, depending how one might look at it. It just seems to me that America has literally become the World Police, and I think eventually, people won't stand for it anymore.

History repeats itself. Currently, the Sun never sets on American soil.

As far as mankind though... I have high hopes that people will learn to love and care for perfect strangers, and that we'll never destroy each other. Maybe that's just a naive 22 year old guy's wishful thinking. =\

Who cares? Destruction brings construction. After were all gone the earth will start reforming by some kind of new life and within good time there may be another species thats far more sofisticated and inteligent thatll make us look like monkeys with guns, well thats all we pretty much are since we cant take care of any thing without blowing it up. The world would be better off without us though. If we can terraform mars then maybe the human race can stay around for much longer expecilly if we can clean every thing up.

In the meen time lets just wait and see if we can unleash the apocolypse uppon our selves.
