Cpnichol is right. The Iraqi's have to share some of the blame? How much? If all he said is true...and thats what we seem to be seeing in the news every day.....Iraqi's killing Iraqi's and no police or authority there that can control them what are they to do? . When the US interferes...were the bad guys. Makes no sense to me. And then we hear its their culture and we dont understand. Duh...so what? Is it a good culture? Are we forcing a worse one on them, are we forcing our culture on them by ousting Sadham and staying hoping that they pull themselfs together? If it doesnt work and another Sadham takes over will allArabs feel better that the big Satan didnt leave a thriving, healthy democracy. Will it make the UN look better because they didnt want to get involved and stop the bloodletting. We went there for the wrong reasons...Big mistake...so what...is all the killing that iscontinueing better for the world or the Iraqi's. The iraqi's and the Iranians were at war for many years. Did we interupt something important? Bush blundered into Iraq....We should never have gone there. However, we accidentally may have saved hundreds of thousands of lives...for now. Is that bad?

Why does everybody always say those Americans are doing it to the Iraqis? Like any of us have a choice until the next election. (which will show some big changes in congress I hope) We, and most people like me, approved of going after Osama and then was like "huh?" with the Iraq thing. I just wish they would stop generalizing about Americans the way the muslims hope that others quit generalizing about them.

u guys ever heard of robert s mcnamra? he was an advisor to the president during the vietnam war, interesting fellow. after the war he went to meet a north vietnamese general of sorts and asked , ' why? why did u guys not want our help?' the general said that people had been invading his country for many years, telling them what they should believe in, how they should run things. he said he didnt have anything against american values, he simply didnt want the americans in his country and it had nothing to do with communism.
quote, "We of the Kennedy and Johnson administrations who participated in the decisions on Vietnam acted according to what we thought were the principles and traditions of this nation. We made our decisions in light of those values. Yet we were wrong, terribly wrong. We owe it to future generations to explain why.", robert s mcnamara. there are a few saddam's in this world of ours, why are we not goin after them with a vengeance? those countries are not in an oil rich region of the world, we have nothing to gain..... at the end of the day iraq is all about oil and US access to it, saddam was a good reason to get in there. now the US has military bases all over the region.thepoliticians will tell you they will help iraq sort out a government and the best peace they can hope for, then the US will get out etc. but imo i dont see that happening. as ive said in another recent post, oil is running dry all over the world and the middle east's oil is essential to the 'american way'. its cold but i wouldnt get out after makin the huge effort of getting in considering what is at stake. ahhh back to the topic.. whats wrong? ...... the lack of the 'whole truth' about the united states intentions in iraq, to be fair i would include the UK in this and most of europe. ahhh and GW, what about building #7? ohhh ive gone into 1 again .. nm

As far as the UN and their involvement in the Iraq thing....there was more corruption in the UN with the food for oil than youI could believe....the UN is a paper tiger with no claws that won't stand for anything unless enought representatives can profit.....how much money did some make in that scandal? Also, isn't doing things only for profit what they accuse the US of doing? The biggest problem is the moderates on every side need to take control from their extremists...the reason we always hear about extremists is they are rabidly yelling their idiological crap and the moderates just too often letit happen. We need to vote to change our extremists....theirs, (Islamic) unfortunately end up put down like the rabid dogs they are.....live by the gun...die by the gun(or bomb)....a big difference? I should say so.....why is that? *rhetorical* Could it be that we value life and fairness and they don't? If they (the islamic extremists) didn't want us peeing in their pond...they should have roped in their terrorist training camps and discourage them going somewhere with a bomb under their coat (or an airplane).
