. . . Senator John McCain. In my humble opinion, of all the members of Congress and presidential candidates, he has the integrity to do the right thing and the foresight to the future. Unfortunately, the American public in general does not agree with his views.

I was a Mc Cain fan until he started to buckle under to the present administration. Not only did he have integrity but he was independant...No more it seems. That only leaves Rudi. He's tough (you got to be to become mayor of New York and actually get things done). He sticks to his guns and I hope he will also show integrity.

I would vote for whoever would have to balls to start special interest and lobbiest regulations that would keep the rich minority from choosing our leaders. These groups DO NOThave our interests in mind, they have their own. One thing that scares me about big oiland theirrecord profits, is they have record amounts of moneythat can be used as campaign contributions to keep it like they want it.They throw money at both sides too. Some day, I hope, wewon't have a "bought and paid for" politician running for prez that will do what the people need instead of what the people shoving money in their and their party's pockets want.

Well said Xtr3m3. But with each election you have the candidates need more money evey time, so they have to go whore themselves to people / groups with lots of money. Isn't this election going to break the billion barrier? If you are going to need a billion to even be able to run competitively in an election you are going to need some very rich people to trust you, and they are only going to trust you if they think they will get their money back.

It should be an interesting election this time round, there are some interesting candidates. For the democrats you have a supposedly "cold and business like" woman and a black guy who admitted doing drugs and for the republicans a mormon, an old man and Rudy who doesn't seem like a normal republican candidate.

Go Fred! I've corresponded with him in years past and I feel he's about as fit to wield authority as any politican can be. [&:]

If he were to decide not to run, McCain, Newt or Romney in no particular order.

I would vote for Guiliani only to keep Hitlery out of office, and I would still have to hold my nose while pulling the lever.

McCain blew it. He gave himself away to try to get elected. Rudi...he has to be a hell of a deal maker to become the mayor of New York and even get things done that makes the city look good. Hes not some clean cut virgin for sure. Your going to learn a lot of things about him in the time left until the election. Romney....another guy that keeps giving hinmself away to get elected. Obama...who's he? Hillary...never say never. If the Republicans continue screwing things up with Bush. They may get her elected. Then their is me. If I had just one more billion...I could do it!

I would have to pick Guliani. The guys got balls, and he has shown that in a crisis he can help. I think hes one of the more honest polititians out there. In the meantime though, if the democratic congress can get things done democrats may have a serious edge among the masses.

I will be voting for whomever stands the least chance of winning. You might be asking, why would I "throw away" my vote like that? Well first of all, you can't throw a vote away so shutup, and secondly, I like to protect myself from scrutiny. For when shit inevitably goes down, and we screw something else up, I will be able to say, "I didn't vote for him! Don't blame me!" That way foreigners can't hate me, and my fellow Americans won't be able to scold me for voting for the idiot. It's a win-win situation, and I'm still a "decent American" for voting.

In case you're wondering, I supported Gore in 2000. For the 2004 election, I decided not to support anyone at all, because (like Southpark reasoned) the choices were a giant douche and a turd sandwich. I never supported Bush, and I never supported the invasion of Iraq. It sadly took everyone else years to reach the same conclusions about him and the war as I. However I am not a Democrat nor a Republican in case you're wondering. I came into college with Political Science as my declared major, as I excelled in my Government, Politics, and Economics classes in high school, and was on the varsity debate team all four years. Since coming to college, I have changed my major because I got so sick of politics and the people who talk about anything political. So there you have it, my political rant. The first one in months, and most likely the last for months because this has reminded me of why I dislike Politics.

So your vote is based on how people will think of you? That does seem selfish and cowardly, no?. Why don't you step up to the plate and stand behind someone? That’s the problem with America right now. Everyone is worried about being politically correct and worrying about how they look.
