In 1972, Saddam Hussein forceably removed all oil companies from Iraq and Nationalized their oil production industries. Now, for you folks who're into numbers here's one for you... 1972.

1972 was the year "Big Oil" lost its footprint in the middle east, and yesterday September 23, 2008, marks the date of the return of Big Oil to Iraq as Royal Dutch Shell set up shop in Iraq. But, what's even more interesting about the numbers game is that 1,972 also marks the number of days since our fearless leader dawned a flight suit landing on the aircraft carrier to announce that the war in Iraq was over, or as he put it "Mission Accomplished".Coincidence?

Why congrats to Cheney, and not Bush you ask... well, because Bush simply does not have the skill sets to pull this type of thing off - he is and has always been a puppet. But, Cheney? oH yes. One has to ask if back in 2,001 when Cheney had his top secret closed door meeting with Big Oil if this wasn't at least discussed or projected. Ahh, to have been a fly on the wall at that meeting. Congrats it would seem are in order as well to those who've always thought our invasion of Iraq was about oil. It would seem now that is a distinct possibility.
