Marty... I don't like Biden any better than I do Palin. Neither are what I consider to be presidential.

Obama really missed the mark when he gave Clinton the pass. With that ticket the Dem's were looking at the potential for a 16 year White House run. Not sure I'd go for that either, but I agree that ticket would've been a juggernaut.

How is that naive? You saying it's because of "bank infrastructure falling down and interest rates worldwide" is naive. Prices have been going up WELL before the start of failing of the "bank infrastructure[s]"?

Naive? PLEASE. Don't insult someone when you don't have any answer yourself. Well, that's the right wing way. It's really only one thing. The Fed. The Fed keeps printing money, and printing money, and PRINTING MONEY. It's INFLATION. Economics 101. For people actually thinking gas prices are maxed out or will settle down, you're deeply mistaken. The government isn't bailing out all these corporations with "our tax dollars." They're simply PRINTING MONEY. This will make for A LOT higher prices in the years to come.

actually, what the gov is doing is worse than printing money...they are borrowing it from countries that.....let's say...do not always have America's best interests at heart....China comes to mind. If it doesn't turn around, I guess I will go buy a copy of that Rosetta stone software to learn Chineese.

You guys know who my vote is for.

Matter of fact, I need to change my avatar back.

I don't often discuss my political beliefs here ( and LORD have I wanted to rebut some of the information here on SP ), simply because 80% of those involved in most political discussions haven't a clue of the real issues at hand....

I don't believe Obama is flawless, but he is the first candidate in many years that has my full backing.

I would have to say that in this election, I am not choosing the lesser of two evils rather the person who is closer to my view. Obama actually has a lot of the views I agree with and even though I disagree at certain issues, I still feel good supporting Obama. The only thing I hope for is that he actually does everything he talks about because this has been a big problem with politicians in general.

One other thing, I really like the new ads that Obama put out talking about policies and all. I live in Virginia, a battleground state, so I will get more ads then most people. In his ads, he talks about what he will do instead of just attacking his opponent (he does have a few shadowed attacks). I really like this way talking about what he will do rather then how his opponent sucks. Also McCain has lost some of my respect with many of the untrue things he has begun to say and also things that he has allowed to have been said at his rallies (He is a terrorist, Kill him)

As of now, Obama has the lead in the polls, and it has become more likely he will keep the lead all the way to Election Day. I personally hope Obama wins; this country cannot handle another Republican in the Oval Office. McCain's policies will bring this country to utter failure. With a Dem in office, this country will be better off, in all matters. Obama and Biden can get this nation out of the ditch the Republicans put us in. Hell, Clinton did it, so can Obama! "We need to rise from the ashes of the Bush's!" - Hilary

Sorry if I misspelled anything or haven't got all my facts straight, I'm only 15. I actually have no say in this election since I can't vote. But I just wanted to say my ideas.

I wish he world of got the nomination but oh well. Im going Obama. McCain is full of lies, its insane. He's come down to using dirty politics, and alot of people voting for him dont seem to understand you're not really voting for McCain you're voting for Palin. Since McCain has had fights with cancer, would be the oldest President EVER and still hasnt released his full medical records. He'll die a week after he gets elected. Then Palin becomes President. Cheney, Rove and other assholes in government can control her and the country. Just like the last 8 years.

If McCain wins im moving to Canada. Anyone have a spare room?

Found a good site for checking the facts behind some of the issues and accusations that are being thrown around - FactCheck.org

It does some good summaries about the debates too, showing who made factual errors and who was er.. well lying. I've noticed in that last few election campaigns that claims that get proved to be untrue or at least are an exaggeration of the facts, keep being made, even after the facts are made clear. Like in this campaign the claims about ACORN voter fraud, Palin's opposition to the "bridge from to where" and claims about McCain's medicare plans. Nice to find a website that cuts straight to the facts and impartially evaluates what has been said.
