A new country

Okay, maybe not new. Anyway Kosovo declared independence from Serbia today. I've failed to find any articles about it, so opinions on their independence and news links are welcome.

BBC world news and the CNN where talking about it on tlevision. i'm sure if you look it up on their respective webswites you will find articles about it. i'm not sure yet if it is a country because the european nations gathered to decide wether to accept their legitimacy or not...

You are a country if you so declare it and no one invades you to prove their disagreement.

Most of the countries that are against it's independence, or are being hesitant about recognising it, have regions that want to be independent too. Which is why it's controversial.

I just read that in Belgrade (Serbia) the American embassy was torched.

In a way But as Ukraine is wishing to break off as well, Russia threatened a nuclear missile directed towards them. I wouldn't doubt the russian flag. Anyhoo even though it is a dirty play on the russian part i cannot deny their brilliant intelligence gathering!

Kosova as its called be the albanians or koso. It is a independent nation, what does it take for a nation to gain independance????
1. A federal government-done
2. A flag- done
3. Backing by a powerful nation- Done.


Wether Serbia likes it or not there province seperated from them. My Albanian friends who are official Kosovanian (not to sure if thats correct) are happy that they seperated from evil serbia. I had heard from my friend Labinot that they had been trying to seperate for MANY years. It is about time that it is done.
