I have a question.....
Do spawnpoint admins understand the concept of checking who is on the server and what everyone is doing before they decide to spam the "admin chat" messages. I was recording a demo earlier when an admin joined the server I was on. The "game" had been progressing for 4 or 5 rounds so was well developed when this admin arrived. Without so much as a "hello" or "are you watching someone" said admin decides to spam admin messages to the server. Exit stage left said potential hacker immediately. His excuse was that he wanted to keep the game "fair" for everyone..... ![]() Now what was worse is that said "admin message" was about excessive overpass camping despite the fact the round was about 20 secs old and had over 3 minuted to go, the admin had no idea if the players on the overpass had been camping at any time or if they were even intending to camp at all! He/she hadn't even been on the server or the first 4 or 5 rounds!! I'm getting pretty narked at some over zealous adminning and, from now on, intend to just record demos of said stuff and sending it dierectly to Phil. He has final say in who gets admin so he can also have final say in removing it..... You guys and gals had better get an understanding on server rules (especially those you are suposed to have played 100s of hours on) and not think that, because you are an admin now, that you can suddenly enforce your own rules. NEWSFLASH, the last bunch of admins who tried that trick aren't admin any more. Also, be very very aware that when a server support staff member or management team member tells you to stop something or stop trying to enforce something that they think is incorrect just do it! Don't argue or question it as you WILL lose ![]() Finally, you all ASKED for the job as admin. That doesn't mean that you can just "run away" when the situation doesn't go the way you want it to. YOU asked for admin, you can't use the "well you can deal with all the sh*t" or "I can't handle this anymore" and disconnect. Adminning is a "full time" job. You can't pick and choose when you want to use it. If you can't handle admin then hand the badge back on the servers page and someone else will do the job........ Rant over! ![]()

Nice warning Raven. I haven't seen this but I understand what you're saying. I have however seen...."I've got to go, I'll be back in a bit" from an admin when the server gets "crazy". It could honestly happen once, or twice but not EVERY time. That is a little too far fetched. We understand that this is all voluntary....but once you accept an admin position, please try and do it to the best of your ability. If you feel that you cannot for any reason at all, simply allow someone else that right and privledge.
