Why do i need someone?

When I am in a relationship that is going good or ever when there is a girl that i like that has a bf already, but i would try and start something with her when she doesn't, I do better.

My grades (if you look at them were higher in the time when I was going out with someone or had a "crush" on someone (sounds so childish lmao)), also I was kinder to people (i find myself being an asshole when I don't have someone to think about), also I don't do as much (don't get me wrong i still do stuff) stupid stuff.

I am just wondering why the hell it is like this. I find its much easier being single and in someways I like it like that, but it seems that its not the best thing for me lmao.

What's the saying? ..."Behind every great man stands a great woman"?...or something like that. Perhaps when you are with someone or have great interest in someone, you are happier...perhaps when you are happier, you are more productive and have a more positive outlook in all that you do.

Even though at times you women are impossible to understand, i believe that men become who they are because women drive us there.

My impression is that this works on multiple levels.

1) The power of positive thinking. You have a "goal" in life and you are working to attain it. It is worth putting effort into your other pursuits because you are not just waiting for tomorrow.

2) Residuals. Like how working out impacts the rest of your life, being happy impacts everything else you do.

3) Piggybacking off of this, you chemically probably get a boost out of being with/pursuing a girl and this lifts the rest of your performances.

I do not think this is uncommon at all. I think it primarily comes down to that you get out of bed with a goal in the morning instead of waking up thinking "I can't handle today," and taking the path of least resistance back to your bed.

well your interactions go better with girls when one or both of you is in a relationship because theres no pressure, as its not a situation where you might get together

couple years ago i had this problem... i was completely fine around girls i thought were hott as long as they were unattainable in some way (i.e. had a bf/sister of my friend type of thing)

however around a girl just as hott or less so who was available i would have a hard time being myself

lucky for me i realized what it was and basically just told myself to stop being a wuss and i started being a little more outgoing

and the reason youre happier when you are with a girl is fairly obvious lol...theyre always on your mind and keep you in a good mood and so youre nicer to people and life comes easier.. in short: its nice to have a girl around lol

rofl I have no problem talking to girls that I like, it was just that a girl i liked didn't like me and pretended to and then i overheard her talking to one of her bestfriends about how she just pretends to like me. That kinda crap gets you a bit down.

Well you've brought up the fact that you've LOST the woman a few times now. People keep answering your question and offering you advice on what should/could be done and you agree for a moment then say you've lost her again. Sounds to me like you just gotta come out with the part that's bugging you still about WHY it ended like this maybe? Or if that's not it then I'm gonna say you've got some other question on your mind you're not asking that these suggestions aren't answering. There's my two cents.

I only lost her once but the attepts to find someone else i have just ended up hurting myself lmao. I broke up with her when our relationship was going very good, because I was pretty sure I was moving (about 1500 miles away) so i didn't want it to be really hard on both of us. Then I didn't move and she had already been taken.
