Opinions please regarding TK'ing...

Often on Gungame servers, many people think it funny or cool to kill their teammates after the round has ended. Personally, whether im anal or not, do not think it is funny or cute. Seems rather pointless to me.

Now, at the risk of sounding like a stat whore ( which im most certainly NOT ), I do like to see a nice score up there if i'm doing well. Sometimes, it makes me play harder, or stay more alert, while STILL accomplishing the objectives of that particular mod, as sort of a motivational factor. It is okay to strive to do well, while remaining a team player.

My questions are, regarding this behavior on SP servers. I know the person shot does not lose a level, but if he makes a specific, reasonable, request to not be team attacked or killed by teammates after the round ends, and they continue to kill that person every round, should action be taken?

I know many do not mind it, but I do know that some do.

Just looking for a little clarification here, as the Turbo Gungame server can become hectic which this type of behavior once the FF nade rounds start.

A teamkill is still a teamkill in my opinion. Doesn't matter when it is in the round.

I think anyone who persistently Tks beyond the scope of the occasional "oops, sry, you tried to knife the guy I am shooting and you ran into my fire," should be disciplined for making the game less fun for others.

It's stupid to teamkill I can understand if it's an accident, but if it's for fun then they should get kicked after so many tk's and banned after that for a day to get the message by. Titan you have a very good point and so do you Mr-Me-II and I agree with them both maybe you should have an auto-message pop up like the roof camping and swearing ones.

Yeah, I know what you saying about getting Tk'ed while playing. BUt if its a accident to TK someone say sorry but if they be jerks and TK them back or heck vote kick them or get a admin to ban them or find a new server. But tkin not fun at all ruins the game for you adn your team, and mess your score up.

I think everyone here has definitely brought up great points. I think that having a message out there like the ones about camping and swearing would help to get the point across. Something like... "Intentionally Killing a Teammate Will Not Be Tolerated"

I'll give you a case in point.

This was not an accidental TK. Apparently, a member of a reputable SP sponsored clan, didnt like the fact that I "stole his kill" in Gungame. He then decides to put a few scout shots into my head after the round ends, killing me. I ask him, "Not to do that again please". I am then met with a "but the round was over, stop crying noob". I ask again, please, do not shoot me after the round is over. Next round, he kills me again. I start recording a demo.

Next few rounds, he doesn't kill me, but he continues to attack me, taking me down low in health. This is not as much of an issue, as I didn't actually die, but the point remains, a jackass is a jackass. A few people in the server decide to back him, as 5-6 members of his clan were playing at the time, including a newly added recruit who joined in on the nonsense. Only he was TA/TKing me at this point. Those of you who know me, know well, that I try to be nice at first, always. Naturally some words were said back and forth.

At this point, a chap by the name of Billy-In Your RAM, switches to my team from the opposiing team, decides to join in on the fun, and kills me purposely as the round starts, and then leaves the server.

I log on to play. Nothing more, nothing less. This was on the PHXX Gungame server, which I didn't have admin on, so it was either put up with the nonsense, or leave and find another server. They managed to leave the map directly after, so this took place over a span of 5-10 minutes maybe? Not a huge dent out of the afternoon, so not a big deal.

I play equally on the servers I admin on, and the ones I don't admin on, so naturally some of the times I can rectify this, and sometimes not.

I just wanted to get a clarification on the rules sort of, that way should it happen on the servers I admin on, I can take action should it be required.


EDIT: One person who posted above made a good point. If it is not allowed typically, perhaps an advertisement can be added to the GG servers stating so, when spare time is had to accomplish such a task.

These players that tk after the round is over are in the same category as the ones that think they can swear at the end of the map because you can't get your admin menu open fast enough. Give them their warning, start your demo if you feel like they are going to complain, and then start moving up the discipline list as necessary. Once they know you are an admin and they continue, you can go straight to kick.

should be an auto slay after round is over. is that possible? or does the scripting stop when "Terrorists Win" plays?

I got a demo of someone who tk and FF me at least 4 round in a row because I

was going to win... I got his Steam ID can he be banned or something ?

in my opinion it rly depends on the situation, like if the guy acciedently goes round and corner and jsut shoots but says sry then id leave it(personal opinion) or when their ally is going for knife and u shoot but hit him. but in other cases i wouldnt rly accept it

You must have a demo with status typed in the console during the offense.

It is best not to advertise to that person or anyone for that matter once you start the demo, as they might decide to alter their behavior.

The first round he was simply tk me, but after that when he saw that he was

dieing too, and that he couldn't win by tk me, he decided to FF me to 3-4 HP,

Titan I got his Steam ID, I typed status in console during the demo and

showed it during the demo. Unholy, please I do have tk people in the past,

but there were accidents, that wasn't an accident, he saw I was winning, so

he was FF me to low hp so he knew I won't kill someone and die soon.
