Default Veteran's Day

Today is Veteran's Day here in the US. I just wanted to take a minute to thank all of those who have served or are serving our country in the Armed Forces. Whether you agree with our current military involvements or not, please take time today to remember and thank those who have committed their lives to military service. <3

True, think about all the families that will maybe lost there father, imagine if you were 6-7 years old and someone from the army come at your house to
tell you your dad is dead for his country... You can lose your life, because the
place they are, they don't really see where the enemies are, they can be anyone so you have a lot of chances to die.

My dad was in the service from '69-'90 in Vietnam. He immigrated to the US in '55. He eventually had the chance to go to West Point but passed it up. He says it was probably the biggest mistake of his life to this date. The funny thing is he is a Canadian. He had risen through the ranks very quickly. He is hesitant to tell me of his stories, but they must have been gruesome over there.

I would like to take this opportunity to say "Thank You" to all the Veterans for all their sacrifices as well as their families.

To all those who sacrifice so much to provide freedom and safety for us - THANK YOU!!!

Your service and dedication will NOT go un-noticed. I proudly fly my flags in your honor, and teach my Scouts to appreciate and respect all those in service to our country (present and past).

May we learn our lessons from the past and NEVER disgrace our servicemen as was done to our Vietnam Vets!

Every Veteran's Day, I make sure to identify as many Veterans as I can, shake their hand, look them into the eye and tell them "THANK YOU!"

We are all in your debt!
