Why did you pick the name you use?

Dwinx (btw it is dwinks and not dwin-x. It is also not #$%^s Hitman ;)), came from a cruise I was on with my college buddies 4 or 5 years ago. Man that went by fast. Anyway, we were playing blackjack in the casino and there was a pretty little cocktail waitress with a foreign accent walking around asking if anyone wanted drinks. Of course, the was she pronounced it (or maybe it was the way I heard it after accepting her offer too many times) was "dwinx," and I've used the name for a variety of things since then.

Mine stems from the first day I started playing hl1 deathmatch at school, over 7 years ago.

It was the first day of school, nobody knew eachothers names. Since my hair was really fuzzy from the shampoo I used I got called fluffy. Put the Evil_ in front of it and my nick was born.

I came up with this name in fourth grade (I'm a junior now). I was determined to have a user name on cheatcodes.com that had something to do with "green," because it was my favorite color. I just never bothered to use any other name.

Well, when I first started playing in 174.5 I used to be "i-die-alot", and people kept calling me "ideal" lol

But once I started getting a little better, it was switched over to "sir i-die-alot" after seeing someone use the name "sir mix-alot", you know... "I like big butts and I cannot lie, you other brothas can't deny..." yeah, that guy.

So after I had that name for awhile, I started incorporating my love for drifting and my car (yeah yeah yeah, I'm not one of those kids that saw Fast and Furious Tokyo Drift and thought I was "DK", I've been into the scene since 2000) into my name, and came up with "sir understeer".

For those of you that know a little bit about cars, are probably wondering why I went with "understeer" if I was into drifting, as the condition of having the rear slide out is usually coined "oversteer". Well, to properly set up a drift car, you have to dial in understeer, so that when the rear end is out in a slide, the understeer keeps you from looping around while you're flat out on the throttle, and that's where understeer comes into play. The entire time you're in a drift, you're actually understeering, as an oversteering condition will cause you to loop around instantly.

Thus, my name was born, and has been since.

Ok, theTurkey was born one night bowling with friends. They were having a raffle at the bowling lanes, and my number was called. The guy said, "If you can hit a strike you get a quarter of the pot...". I hit the strike. He said, "If you can hit another strike you get half the pot...". Another strike. Finally he said, "If you can hit the third strike you get the whole pot..$167." I nailed the third strike to take the cash. In bowling three strikes in a row is known as a turkey. My buddy said, "Anyone can hit a turkey, but you just nailed the turkey!!!" My nickname has stuck with me since.

well mines simple, Self pride just created my name cu its my last name, and the only problem i have is it when ppl call me lame :(

Been playing FPS since Quakeworld, and I also have heard people refer to themselves and others as being "godlike" or "he is godly".....Being a greek mythology fan, I knew that the Titans initially birthed and ruled over the Gods.

Hence the name.

And yes, I am aware that the Gods eventually overthrew the Titans, but heck, cant win em all.

I use the moon Titan from the planet Jupiter, as my signature and spray on most servers for years now.

It all start with the game Runescape (it’s a free Java MMORPG). I always make a joke that I go to an area with cows and just spam MOO. I started to use it as a greeting then I started to use it out side of the game in IMs and email. Shortly after that I stated to say it in real life (I know it’s sad). Now I use something that is cow related in all my names.

Now the way I came up with Big Moo Pie is when halo 2 came out I got X-box live and needed a name. I took about 10 minuets to think of it. I wanted it to be funny and I was thinking along the lines of cow pie (look it up if you don’t know what it is). Then I thought to use some word play and used moo instead of cow. To top it off I added big to the front of it for the fact that I am big (6’9”) and it added a little bit more zing to it if you know what the name means.

And that’s how my name came to be and I used it ever since.

Mine's from a Simpsons character, a knife fighting monkey called Furious George. I'd been running about trying to knife people (in game, not real life:rolleyes:)so it seemed appropriate somehow.
