i have been having problems with cs source mainly with adding servers to my favorites. if i try and add a server by ip, it always says server not responding, no matter what :sneaky2:, but if i just do a search for servers and then add one of them from the list that comes up, it works, does anyone know why this is, i am trying to add the new ip of the office/dust deathmatch server but it wont let me. Help me obi wan kenobi, you're my only hope!

I've found steam to be "tempremental" at best....

If you go and play on the server in question and look on your "history" page it will show up there....

Highlight it and "add it to your favourites" from the bottom of there.....it should let you.

I've no idea what causes it, just relog now and again make sure you click 'find servers' then add because it does do what you say if i just hit 'add servers at this ip' before i find a game at it...

Its common problem, atleast its for me. Servers keep disappearing from favorites and cant favorite anything. I only use history these days because officefest is kinda only server where i play source. Its like a home lol :P

It's probably from all those crappy updates from steam that aren't necessary. When adding a server to your favorites, do "find servers at whatever address" first, then add the server after it shows up in the "find list". The other quirky crap steam does about which servers show up....not much you can do about that.

I do what X does and it works. Just make sure you are out of game when you do it because it won't save it under favorites if you do it in game.

the title speaks for your selves.. hahaha... just joking me too im having troubles with my cs source.. tsk.. i haven't found a way yet... :crying:

I find I can't add a server just by the IP address. I have to bring up the server details and click "find games blah blah" before it will add to my faves.

Steam is erm quirky at the best of times.
