Placebo Effect

We all know about the drugs version

'the placebo effects of drugs" being manifested in those cases where "a real psychotherapeutic effect appears to have been produced

So if you believe strongly in something .. it will work.

Again with none-alchololic drinks, if you believe they taste and have alcohol in them, you can get drunk.


So i was thinking.. i recently downloaded a skin for my glock, which makes it have louder noises, cooler noises, cooler looking gun, nice and beefy looking, better reload animation.

I also noticed i want to use it more, i kill a bit easier with it, do you think this could also be a 'placebo' effect? i believe in my gun more, so its much better.

Or i'm going insane.. comments?

I do believe in the "placebo effect" when it comes to medication and stuff...Every medical study includes a placebo group! ...so I guess, why not when it comes to css. It is kind of like a psychological state of mind.

Well, I'm no expert on psychology but I think since you believe the gun is "better" you have more confidence in yourself. Therefore are able to make better shots accordingly. If you are unsure of yourself, you are more likely to hesitate before you make a shot and more likely to miss or spend to much time making up your mind.
