Is this an exploit in Counter-Strike: Source?

So I saw this guy the other day throwing nades, seems that he would get a new one without walking over a corpse (if they didn't use their own nades) or being in the area where you can purchase your gear. Just kept getting nades after nades...hack?

Depending on the server it could have been an admin abusing their power, But I dont know of any hacks or exploits that let people get infa-nades.

There is a script that gives infinite grenades to anyone in the server, could have been it

I dont think it can be hacks because hackers use their hacks for way more complex things maybe it wasjust the server, admin or it could be hacks maybe.

If it's an admin abusing their power to spawn infinite grenades then yes it should be reported here. And If it is a script I'm fairly sure it would not be allowed so it is probably reportable as well.

Oh ok then, next time I see this player doing such technique, I'll report it here then. I didn't write down the player's Steam ID because I wanted to find out what others thought of this before judging the player.

Just make sure you get the Name and Steam ID.

All you have to do is type Status in console, and you'll get your information

If its admin abuse then a Demo would be required, and if its another player a demo certainly wont hurt.

just spectate the player doing it, type

record <demoname>

Replacing <demoname> with any name for your demo, then type

status

Once youre done type

stop

Dont make the demos too long either, a couple of rounds of this type of behaviour should be enough.

Once your demo is done use the "Report a Hacker" Option when clicking the "Servers" tab at the top of the page.

Was it on the WC3 server ? It might have been a demoman (infinite nades).

Most Spawnpoint admins don't have the ability to give weapons in game, it may have been a 'warmup' round which which some servers use - this is just a little plugin that gives everyone in the server infinate nades for the first round, so that more players can be ready for the pistol round

No this was in San Jose Lila Panic server. Everyone else was playing right except for this one player who just kept on throwing nades 1 after another. He wasn't using it to destroy cades or anything but was just throwing it on the ground like money. Ok now I know how to use the demo feature. Thanks.

i can understand it's not really fair, but hey ... he's the one losing money over it ...

Yes it's called "Nade Spamming" and i'd certainly "deal" with the player even if it is in the first 30 seconds
