Hacking

Well, throughout my time playing CS:S, I've witnessed quite a few hackers, and in the end, they all get banned.

I would like to know ( if there is an answer): Why do people hack in the first place?

cause they have no life, are noobs, and want to piss ppl off.

The reason will vary from person to person; but in the end, it all comes down to the fact that they have no respect for anyone, including themselves.

Someone might hack because they suck at the game and they want to impress someone. Well, I can tell you that it doesn't impress anyone at all. They think that they will earn acceptance if they are to do good, or if they are to beat out someone else. However, That is opposite from the fact; the only thing they gain is a spot on the GBL (In Spawnpoints case).

But that's just an honest guess on a topic that only those who do it know about.

This is how I see it.

There are certain people out there that get their enjoyment out of the game not by playing the game fairly and normally but get there 'fun' from ruining the game for others. Typically these people are the ones that will do any and everything to make others angry and stressed for their own personal enjoyment. They can do this by ether mic spamming, blocking, team attacking or TKing, etc.. and hacks are simply another tool for them to use to aid them.

Now there are also another group of people that get tired of dieing over and over again and rather then working at getting better they take the easy road and resort to hacks. It's is similar to life for example, You can ether A, see that new car someone has and work hard and eventually you might get that car. OR you can B take what seems the easy road at the time and say steal it. Now most mature people nowadays will see that B is not a valid option due to the unforeseen consequences that may arise but then there are others that do not. In the end someday it will catch up to them.

There is really nothing that can be said or done to correct people like this unless they figure it out on there own. Hence why the only way SP deals with hackers is to ban them, permanently.

I dont get it, hacker = no life?

Legit or hack, you're still playing the game.

in my opinion people hack for one of 3 reasons:
1, because they think it will be funny to listen to everyone shout hacker and get annoyed.
2, Because they get an enjoyment out of sitting there annoying everyone on the server

3, because they just find it generally fun to be able to do things others can't if wallhacking, speedhacking or just rush and kill everyone.

Number 2 is kinda an advancement on number 1.

I also think that the really blatant hackers dont have the skill to go against other people so they resort to h4x.

But in the end hackers know its wrong and still continue to hack, these people have a lack of morales or understanding. These people are prolly the persons that get punished for UVC and camping on bridge for the entire round because they have a real lack of skill, or a sense of fair play.

I cant say that its to impress there freinds because if there freinds had any intelligence at all, they could easily see they were cheating and think even less of that person imo.

But there are some hackers that do it purely for a laugh, and to piss people off.

Some hackers try it then stop it out of sheer boredome and i can understand, who would really find an aimbot aiming and shooting for you FUN?!

Creating hacks is an intellectual challenge, and for some a profitable business.

But using hacks in a game is really sad. Anyone who finds fun in causing grief for others needs to see a shirnk about their emotional issues. And those who do it to impress strangers, friends or themselves with their high stats also are in need of psychological help, if your self esteem is so low that you need to artificially generate props from your peers for something as unimportant as your performance at a computer game then you got some serious issues.

No matter how badly I am playing I have never been even slightly tempted to get a hack, or in any other way artificially enhance my performance - team stacking, wtj, finding server populated by noobs........

I dont have great skills, nor do I possess hair trigger reflexes, nor have I memorised every sq inch of the maps. I make a point of playing on servers that are mainly populated by people better than me (thats how I wound up at sp). For me the fun is in the challenge it presents, if it was easy I would have quit playing ages ago.

I agree with all the people above me they seem to not have lives and like to mess up peoples gaming experince for their own sick reasons i can't stand them and wish they never existed but eithout them we would have reasons to get better so we can own their hacks.

They pretty much just love to agitate the people in the server when they hack.
