Favourite Singleplayer PC Game

What is your favourite Singleplayer PC Game of all time, and why? (Can be a line of games, such as COD2/3/4 if you cant decide which you like best)

Mine would be Half life 2 (and episodes 1 and 2) because I think they are pure genious. The story is the single best story I've ever known and NOONE can ever forget the physics ^^ and gameplay.

Half life 1/2 were amazing, but my opinion changes all the time, before it was them, but then i played BioShock, and loved that

but now i'm playing crysis and love that even more! so its hard to have one favourite

Dont really play many singleplayers on PC but out of the ones i have played so far i guess i would have to pick command and conquer they have a good story to them. I am looking forward to red alert 3!

Personally i prefer Star Wars : Knights of the old republic series over all

All of the GTA's, When GTA first came out it set a benchmark for all games and many games have tried to emulate it (and failed) ever since.

GTA (all of em ) FTW!!!!

P.S. I installed Vice City out of sheeeeeeer boredome yesterday, and completed it today.. Its just such a fun game!!!

Half Life 2, Fable and KOTOR

I would say Postal 2 Share the Pain. I love that game, yes I know it's bloody left and right but that game was fun and still is. As long as you don't take the game seriously, you're good to go! Can't wait for Postal 3...eh too bad it's 3rd person shooter but I hear some modders are working on a 1st person shooter mod before it comes out, all should be well.

Devil May Cry 4
Even though I'm 1/4 through the game, it already has beaten COD4.

IMHO, Half Life 1 was decent, Half Life 2 was more over-rated and hyped than Halo 3. Over-rated and hyped by fans loyal to the 1st version. I never found any fun playing it, the gun accuracy is horrid, and your constantly trying to escape from something. The best zombie fighting game might be RE:Umbrella Chronicles for Wii.
Thats my opinion though, wanna dispute? HOLLA!

Oh so many

All the command and conquer games, Half Life 1 and 2 (and the episodes that followed) X3: Reuinion is great for replayability, I loved COD4's storyline.

The KOTOR games were good too.
