Hi hsmaddness!
Well, if you're like me...you'll probably appreciate a little more information! If you know what you're doing read Raven's "clicky" above. I needed to be "walked" through the process the first time. Thanks to Raven's help on steam friends (yes he walked me through it), I was able to get it!!!Easy steps to follow: 1. You must be in first person spec. That means spectating the person you wish to take a demo of...as if you were him (no side view, no aerial view). 2. Open up your console (hit tilde key ~ the key to the left of your number 1 key). The console will come up. 3. Type in console: record (space) (and the name/partial name of person you are recording). If you are using 2 words for the name make sure you type an underscore (_) between the two words instead of leaving a space. For example: If you are demoing a hacker named "I'm a Noob Hacker", you can name the demo noob_hacker. Hit enter. 4. On the next line type: status Hit enter again. 5. Your demo is now recording. When you have enough proof then you must end your demo. Make sure you do not run the demo too long. To stop the demo open console again and type: stop Hit enter again. That is all you need to do to record a demo!!! Easy right????? ![]() The first time you record a demo you will be scared!! At least I was! LOL! But it's ok. Just take your time. It's so easy after you get the hang of it! If you have any questions, never hesitate to ask! Have fun! ![]()

If you don't want to have to type status, you can auto record them. I forget where it is in the menu, someone else can post what numbers you have to puch to get that feature.
Last time I checked the ACT accepted that as an alternative to the status method. However if I'm wrong feel free to change this. You can also use this courtesy of Drifter: You can find a script here if you want to make sure I didnt miss anything or your unsure how to use it, he explains in the thread how you put it in and such. Demo Script

"Auto Spectate" is admin panel options 1, 9, 3 and then chose the player.
Thereafter it will auto spec the player in question each round and show his steam id at the start of the spec and each round thereafter..... It is acceptable as a submission method. Rob
