Default FF7 Crisis Core

My brother has Crisis Core on his modded PSP already and it looks pretty cool.
The battle system is a simple hit and run system similar to Star Ocean 3.
It comes out I believe Tuesday?

What do you think is gonna be cool about it?

And do you think Square Enix should remake FF7 for the PS3?
I certainly do, it would be awesome!

FF VII for the PS3 is nothing more then a hoaxes cause it would take them roughly 5+ years to finish everything, Adding the graphic, animation, Sounds, materia crap, Character design, and not to mention new material to in the new game, But i'd image sense FF VII is there most promoising game in SE histroy (besides Chrono trigger) it should be too far fetched

I have the new Crisis Core and its amazing.. i love it!

the good points about it :

There are side missions, 300 of them in fact

The graphics are amazing quality with amazing FMVs

If your a FF fan (like me ) theres lots of stuff in the plot that helps understand the original

And the battle system works for me, no more loading a battle scene its just simple run around and then it happens

Materia Fusion is a cool feature
Free roaming, you are allowed to roam wherever you wish in the chapter, rather than following a strict path

Bad points about it :

The leveling up system makes no sense what so ever (to me anyway) its a system that is similar to a slot machine and when the three numbers hit 7, you level up.. i think the experience points system worked better.

The limit break system is exactly the same with a slot machine function and when all the icons match you use there special limit break, and this happens randomly and you have no control over who it targets.

The missions are all simple A to B style, i dont mind them but a little variety would have been nice, as they do get repetetive.

and a little corny lines now and again, but not enough to annoy you.

But its still an awesome game! best psp rpg game by far. Go and get it !

as Xemnas says, it would take to long for a re-make of FF7, they only did Crisis core as a 10th Anniversary thing, so perhaps a 20th Anniversary we may see a re-make? who knows!

Yup Crisis Core is by FAR the best RPG for the PSP.
I know they wouldn't remake FF7 but hey, it'd be great

Thumbs up I think the luck system. is cool.

I have the game. and I like the luck system with the spinners.

mainly because alot of the time you can level up 2 or three times when just fighting a minor nothing monster.

i myself don't own the game a friend of mine has it and i was watching him play it last night, the graphics are awesome, and the game looks cool, tho i think SE might be milking the FFVII franchise a bit to much, thats just me

It would be much easier than you think. If it is a remake, then the story/plot is already written, and the motions are already laid out they just need to code it all up. No game takes a short amount of time especially for new-gen consoles but I am sure it is certainly feasible. Though, Square-Enix isn't big on the whole 'remake' idea so much as sequels or just new concepts entirely.

Haha, don't base your views of something entirely of what someone else says. Go out to a store or someone you know who has it and try it out a little.

Anyways, back to the main topic. I don't think they need to remake FF7 for PS3 because the original was a classic and I don't think they would want to take the risk of causing resentment if they messed it up. I think FFXIII and FFXIII Versus is enough Those look soooo nice.

Oh, I agree. That's why I think if you were to remake it you would need to keep pretty much everything the same except make it's graphics look better and perhaps add some more FMVs and side quests.

And yeah, FFXIII looks nice but they are changing a lot of the good RPG elements that made all the other ones classic - like FF7. I'm sure it will get 10/10 scores and be great, but nothing that you would want to play repeatedly after you beat it much like the older SNES/PSX Final Fantasies.

Yea, which is why I still did not like the merger between Squaresoft and Enix...

Square was so much better off alone because Enix forced Square to change the turn-based. Ahhh, I remember the days I spent "stocking" in FF8 like they were yesterday...

Well, I'm not sooo opposed to turn-based, but I just like it better then running around. FFXII was like that and it was only a good game, it wasn't anything spectacular.

True, but then again cant just add what the original had you need to add something that the original had except greatly improved Graphics and improved Animation. something else like voice overs and more ability's, multiplayer and some other great stuff to make it just as good as the original

EDIT: YIKES! thank you for noticed that this thread is a month old homey.
