Halo 2 vs Halo 3
Posted: Mar 23, 2008, 21:32:14
Halo 3 is all around a better game, but it has flaws that Halo 2 in my opinion doesn't. Like how you have to press down on the dang D pad to talk on your mic. How slow the BR shoots. Lack of fun stuff like super bounces. Yes sowrd classhing is more realistic, but halo 2 had that just didn't happen EVERYTIME you attacked someoen else with a sowrd lmfao.
Halo 2 has better online play in my opinion, yet it takes longer to get a match. Halo 2 campain play is incompairable to that of Halo 3. Glitches all over the online play, and more lag. The graphics arn't as good as Halo3's, but in an action FPS like Halo its not all that biga deal, at least to me anyway.

I agree with you. People like to complain about random, and often bogus things. Just so you people know, the graphics are great...The water is spectacular, the flora is amazing, and the detail to the backdrop is impeccable. And then there is the only play. If you thought Halo 2 had a good online community or great online features (like friends list and leaderboards.) It just got better with Halo 3, Bungie has out done everyone including themselves and created a community unlike any other. Forge - community created maps and game types, Film maker - Share your greatest moments with everyone, and party/ friends list integration - Play with your friends anytime you want, or play by yourself and keep it that way. Also, play with up to 3 other friends online over Xbox live for the ultimate social gaming experience.

True, but without clans.....
Yes, clans got into arguements all the time over who was better, but still its a big part of any mmofps.

hehehe, you were one of the few that actually used the clan feature in Halo 2. Really, there werent many people who actually used that feature..hence why it was not included in halo 3. It just wasnt worth the effort to put in if no one was going to use it.
There is a couple work arounds though.
1. Change all your icons and Id numbers to the same, so E01 - which is mine, E02 - My friends and so on from there.
2. This one is directly from Bungie themselves. You create a xbox live silver account, add all your clan members to its friends list, turn friend viewing on...then you can communicate with any of your clan mates, even if they are new and you dont have them on your friends list. Its not exactly a true clan feature, but it works.
3. If you want to spend money, change all your gamertags so that they have the clan tag in them, though i don't recommend and it just isn't worth the money to just be included in a clan (and if you leave the clan, pay AGAIN)

in my personal opinion, the Halo series has a good story and a good story mode.
thats basically all I do when I play a Halo game.
Multiplayer just isn't fun for me.
For those types of games I would rather play cs/cz/source.

Yes and counter-stike is really real, at least in Halo 3 when you get shot 8 times there is a reason you are still alive :-P.

the way i look at it, there are things halo 2 did that were good, and things halo 3 did that were good, as far as campaign goes i try to look at 3 as a delayed 2nd half of 2's. 2's ending never sat well with me until 3 came out
as far as mutliplayer goes i really like the equipment they added into the game and the ability to further customize your spartan/elite. hard to look at it in terms of which is better they both had there pros and both their cons

This thread should be placed in the "xbox 360" forum.
Halo 2 is much beter than Halo 3 becasue Halo 3 is over rated.
Thank you

Either way 360 forums and General Gameing Discussion, I could really post in both. It is about a game which fits with above, however it is also about a 360 game. But more so for general, because Halo 2 isn't for the xbox 360.
If when the parties are bigger than 8 in Halo 3 you didn't have to hold up on the D pad to talk Halo 3 would be amazing, but im about to break the game in half, cuz i can't stratigize when i can't play and talk at the same time......

i know this is kinda off topic but not completely but i think halo 1 was the best mostly because it had a better storyline. sure it didnt have the energy sword or anti-grav hammer. but its still awesome to play
