How do u guys have music on servers ?

I play your KZ servers all the time, and I joined today and I see u guys have a radio activated somehow through /motd. How did u guys do it ? Is it playing from pre-recorded mp3 or wav or do u guys link it somehow to some online radio and broadcast it ? I hope u guys can spend few minutes and explain me how u figured that out.

Labec is in charge of radio programming - we dish out the music via our license, etc via a Widnows Media Server.
I can't really answer anything else. I am an idiot.

I know how it works now, did a little research.
But where did u guys get that radio station ? It's pretty good.
Could u guys gimme a link to that radio station ? Like original website ?
Cuz it's not your private radio, right ? U guys just put in the code to connect to that station, right ?

All you have to do is listen to the station ID, and then google it.

As much as I love the SpawnPoint radio.... can we have it not come on automatically? I know in the SF server, there's no way to turn it off. You have to reconnect at least once for the MOTD to show up. :\

We'll continue to tweak it. - We WANT people to listen to it - but we don't want to FORCE you to listen to it.

Also - in answer to the question someone asked - Yes, this is a SPAWNPOINT radio. - Our licensed broadcast.

yeah on the scoutzknivez server the only way to turn it off is to press the stop button when you first join, but many people don't expect it. or if you type /top15, /rankstats, /statsme, etc. it will stop, but no one believes it. i have noticed in other servers that /motd will allow you to turn it off and it is more convenient.

Some servers sound isn't nearly as important - so music playing in game is not a big deal. But others, sound is one of those essential parts of the game - where music would be very annoying.
