Yesterday was a sad sad day in my world. After 5 years of dedicated service to me and countless hours of fun, my graphics card finally past into the great beyond.

I guess I pushed it too far, I guess it just couldn't handle it. I regret now playing CoD4 for four hours straight, I'm thinking that's what killed it. The poor guy; He had been showing signs of weakness for many weeks before his passing. I didn't notice the signs and perhaps should have put him out of his misery earlier. However, what has been done is done and I can't do anything to bring him back.

A few months ago, he had a little incident. He sarted getting really hot and started making odd noises. I really didn't think anything of it, at the time I was too into having fun with him. Looking back now, I smile at everything he has brought me. I guess I'm just glad that he is in a better place now, he's in graphics card heaven.

His brother, integrated, will now have to supplement me in the coming few months until I go out and search for a new best friend; someone else who can give me hours and hours of fun. This tradgic event will not however keep me from fraggin' people on CS:s. However, integrated is old and decrepid and about to reach his time too. So here is to countless hours of fragging at 10 FPS.

His burial will be later this week, he will be joining his countless other brothers at the funeral home downtown, Compu-Smart. His body will be donated to making other's have a happier life, perhaps in his next life he will become a new line of cards. Though whatever he becomes, he will always be in my heart.

*sniff* I loved you 7600GT, you were like a brother to me. I will miss you. <3

I almost wish mine would die so I would have an excuse to go get a better one. Mine quite happily plays the latest games with reasonable settings and fps so I really can't justify getting a new one.

The good news is that your next best friend should be far better.

I would be happy with 10 fps. Me and my 6800 GT are still going strong. I can't wait to upgrade my stuff. Chillin with Athlon 64 3200+ is sooo much fun.
