They have recently gone under in the U.S., they will still be open in other countries like Canada.

Now I thought this might happen so i spected out things i might want to get about a week ago. I drove down to the big Circuit City near me right next to a large mall. People were flocking to the store due to their claimed liquidation sales(as seen here Circuit City). Now I went straight to the monitors hoping to find a 24in monitor for a good price. I was looking at a nice LG 24in the week before, and was surprised to find that it was $50 more than the week before!!!! and also much more than the same product of at best buy that isn't having sales. Also, the pre- built fail boat computer systems they offered were very over priced as usual. I looked at a router i had bought (the Netgear Wireless N router), and it was $50 more than i had payed online. I looked at my G15 keyboard which I had bought at Best Buy for $75 and they had it at $112. Web Cams were OUTRAGEOUS!!! They wanted $80 for a VX-5000 (which is a POS web cam might i mention) and over $70 for a Microsoft LifeCam NX-3000 which is priced at $32 on newegg.com. Now I know online you usually get better deals, but for a store that claims to be "liquidating all merchandises" this is a little absurd.

The sales at Circuit City were 10% everything * (not everything big list of things they told me were in fact not on sale when I inquired.....), 20% off select CD's, and 30% cables, and furniture.

I feel bad for the loads of people looking at computers and weighting in lines thinking they were getting good deals when really nothing was on sale.

Just wanted to let everyone here at Spawnpoint whats going on

That's how they make money :).

Years ago I bought a 7600 GS OC for around 100$ on directcanada.com, coupple days after, I went to stapples and I saw the same gpu from the same company ( BFG ) and it was 260$, I've never paid less in store, even on boxing day/ black friday, everything I compared was cheaper online. Every items you have at future shop/best buy/ etc., you'll find it cheaper online, it's just how the things are..

The problem is that people don't pay that much attention, they're like " Boxing day ! yay everything is cheaper !!! " They just hurry to buy something they probably don't need in case someone get it before them..
