Title says it all, you can watch events take place all over the city via a webcam.

Disclaimer: There is mild violence, but it's all from a distance. This subject is not one to take lightly, people do die in these conflicts. Any posts in this thread MUST be appropriate or they will be removed.

Somebody "operating" the camera will move it every once in a while, so if you are patient, you can see a 360 view of the city. The night shots are actually pretty cool too, if you are in the right timezone to get one.

I myself have been watching it since about 11:30PM their time. It is now about 7:50AM there. You get a pretty good idea of just how difficult it would be to be living there right now by watching or even just listening to this for awhile.

Pandora's box!

This is my favorite geographic area in my political science studies and my internation relations classes.

The other day, the subject was opened and the whole class turned to chaos.

As for the conflict itself... I believe Hamas was wrong, as they were the first to break the cease fire agreement therefore prompting Israel to defend itself. But yet Israel has taken it too far, way too far.

Media says around 300 children have been killed/injured since. Israel attacked a UN school where the refugees have been hiding. And not until 7 days after the conflict did Israel allow the Red Cross and other aid agencies in. And even then, the UN and Red Cross International claim that their representatives in the area have been under attack.
The UN even went as far as stating that all it's moved had been coordinated with the Israeli government, therefore why Israel would attack the United Nation's workers is beyong me.
