You know what sucks?

Well, I figured it was about time for me to get a thread like this going. I was thinking about what sucks the other day watching the whole political machine spending all that money for the talking heads that could use all that money to solve problems instead. I will start the "list".

You know what sucks?....

1. ...Junk food and food that is bad for you tastes good and is cheap. Healthy food usually doesn't taste near as good and is almost always far more expensive.

2. ....Men hit their sexaul peak at 18, women usually hit it in their 30's. How in the heck is that fair?

3. ...America hasn't got over being racist. I have heard statements on the news radio station I listen to at work from people that say "The only way Obama doesn't get elected is if America is still too predjudiced". Pfft! A sad thing is that is partially true. It also sucks that too many people automatically make that assumption if someone doesn't vote for him. I, like others I know, will not be voting for him because I don't believe in many of the core values of the democratic party. I personally don't care if his skin was purple with pink polka dots. If his politics matched mine, he would get my vote. (I also have to swing the mighty ban hammer in game all too frequently on racist fools that probably smoked their last 3 brain cells)

4. ...No matter how much money I make, I never seem to put any more away per month then I did 10 years ago.

5. ...Gas actually costs more per gallon than water. (tongue in cheek here)

6. ...Knowing that my mind continues to improve but eventually my body will go downhill. I won't be able to pack those huge beams at work forever....it is quite humbling actually.

7. ...When your friends can't get along no matter who is at fault and you are forced to split your time between them if you want to continue being friends with both of them. (Some of you will know exactly what I am talking about here)

8. ...When you get something obstructing the eye of your mouse and you think you have lost all your skillz.

I might add more later as they occur to me. Please "keep it clean" and post about "what sucks" for you.

When you think people are mature enough to handle situations but they just end up being petty and immature.

Realizing that things that can be obtained easily aren't what you really want

I agree X, when friends cannot for the life of them be civil and at least pretend to be friendly and you have to either choose one or spread yourself too thin trying to keep both.

Being criticized, made fun of, harassed and generally abused for being who you are and what you think.

Being lonely...being lonely pretty much sucks.

(If I think of more I'll probably add them...but for now these are what are bothering me)

And here's mine: Trying hard to help people get along, helping people with problems and being told that I'm wasting my time and that it's NOT MY JOB! Basically told that I'm wasting my time. I NEVER see it as wasting my time...esp. if I can help or make a difference!

There is really only one thing really really bugging me right now. That being after I got sent a message that was quite clearly intended to be racist and derogatory towards African-Americans. This really turned my cranks as this is a person I had known to be quiet and content in his own little world. He did not strike me as someone that would make that sort of comment, especially to me.

It really bugs me that people can be so ignorant and tied up in all this garbage that you hear about the "other" race groups in todays society. I am defiantly not going to mention any as I know it would not be appropriate here, so don't ask me to tell you what I have heard, and regret hearing. Comments of such hate always come from the weirdest sources it seems. The people who you look at and respect because of the way they act around different race groups, those are the kind that always seem to make those darn comments to me.

I say this for all, no one in particular. Everybody is set equal, no one is above another. It doesn't matter what color your skin is, or what language you speak, we are all people at heart and you should treat them as such. People need to stop looking up, or down at others and start looking forwards..

I automatically deduct 50 or more IQ points from a person who is racist. People call it ignorance but I believe it is deeper than that. Ignorance suggests that someone can learn something either by being taught or from experience. Racist people are just plain stupid either by choice or lack of grey matter.

9. ...working for family when a majority of the work is for free

10. ...having anxiety about teaching my kids to drive in the future.

11. ...foreign automobile manufacturers that haven't figured out that people are bigger than 5'9". I just love driving with my knees bumping the steering wheel....

12. ...windows vista...need I say more?

13. ...technical support that is outsourced where the phone is answered by an ESL tech whose accent you have trouble understanding. This is compounded by the frustration of not being able to resolve the issue yourself.

Having your car stall at a red light happened to me earlier...some ignorant tool just sat in his chair beeping his horn at me, while I tried to get the stupid thing going again.

What really sucks is people who don't say "please" and "thank you". It's not as if it costs anything......

Also, people who play on-line games, not to have fun and unwind, but to cause "upset" or "unhappiness" for others who do play the game for fun.

People who think they know better then you despite the question or problem being in your specialised field (Marty will understand that one).

People who lack common "life skills" or who haven't actually lived in the big wide world who think things are going to be easy (like my eldest, wait 'till she has to buy/rent a house and pay all the bills)

What sucks most just now is the cost of fuel in the UK and the lack of any help from our govenment in reducing it

Pretty much a lot of modern life sucks when you look at it objectively

0.o I can't believe I forgot that one! That is one of my pet peeves on my job! My favorite application of the that is when people think they know better because "Their <insert relative or friend> does it for a living" My mental response to that is "If they are soooooo good, howcome you hired me to do it instead?" (obviously I can't say it outloud) lol! nice add Raven.
