I have noticed a glitch since valve's last brilliant update and want to know if anyone else has experienced this.

When I am playing CS:S with winamp playing in the background, when ever someone talks in game my music goes all quiet and fuzzy while the person is speaking. As soon as they stop talking the music goes back to normal but it is very annoying and this just started happening since the update.

that big update seems to be causing various sound-related problems for a lot of people. so far what I'm seeing is that the problems depend on the combination of audio chipset in a person's computer and what specific programsthey have running, which makes it a major PITA to do bug testing on.

it seems to be mainly people with on-board sound that are running into issues, but I don't know which specific chipsets are having problems.

Since I don't play music while I'm playing the game, I haven't experienced this problem first hand.

However, I did notice that sometime when other people use the in-game-talk function on their mic, that sometimes their voice would be completely messed up, like heavy static, and then they'll let go of the talk button, and reengage the button to talk, and it'll be back to normal again.

I am not sure if that's a problem on my end or their's though.
