Does anybody know a way to convert HLTV demos to another format? Some buddies and I are looking to put some demos of teams that we will be facing in scrims on our Ipods so is this possible?

I guess I am looking for things such as Hyper! JD's frag video. I looks like HLTV quality.

Thank you for reading.

Get a program called "Fraps"

This program will record raw uncompressed .avi video realtime. All you need to do is load up the demo, press the hotkey (F9 by default) and it will start recording the .avi. Pres F9 again to stop it.

The trial of FRAPS will only allow 1 minute videos to be recorded at a time.

BE WARNED. BUY A HARD DRIVE. A one minute fullscreen 60FPS video in fraps will end up over 2GB in size. You will need to compress the video (Sony Vagas has a 30 day trial, you will be able to compress the video with that.

I have never really played around with that stuff much, so I don't kno it all...but I hope this at least pointed you in the right direction

Welcome to Spawnpoint :)

Well I had a FRAPS account at one time and I had the purchased version as well. However whenever I watched the videos I recorded it seemed all jumpy and slightly laggy.

Maybe I will just tweak with the settings.

But what about demos that you can only watch in CSS? Is there a way to convert those?

I guess there is always the option of using FRAPS when I watch the demo xD

Thank you for the warm welcome.
