For some reason console wont open for me & yes I have highlighted in advanced settings the console checkbox.

There is anonother way of opening console by going to Steam < My games and right click on CS:S and go to properties.

There you need to type something in, in order to open the console that will appear in the main menu of CS:S.

I forgot it but anyone knows what you have to type there?

Also I used to play with small crossaires but I forgot how to make it small again (it has the size of a dot) 'cause its easier to pull of headshots of in CS:S, in my opinion.

* Add the following:

-developer -console +bind F12 toggleconsole

* Explanation:

-developer = More advanced info goes to your console while you play.
-console = This just opens the console when you start up the game.
+bind F12 toggleconsole = Binds console to a press of F12 on your keyboard, I used F12 because some peoples have problem with the ~ apparently.

And also, to get small crosshair, use the command "cl_crosshairscale 99999" to make it small, higher the number is the smaller it is, but in one point it wont go any smaller :) and if you go for bigger crosshair just go for lower numbers

OR you can just type "-console" in the Launch Options bar. Then when you press ESC in-game you get the console ;)

The console checkbox within advanced never worked for me.. Not when I purchased, not now. I'm using "-console" in launch options and a key is bound to toggle the console.

About the crosshairscale.. try "cl_crosshairscale 64" my personal favorite :D
