No, mine's a laser mouse.

Logitech G5. The older one with the single thumb button.

I love this mouse, won't go back to optical after this thing.

For my playing style I need the super sensitive laser tracking that the optical cannot give me.

Ditto here Mr. SU...wouldn't trade my Log.G5 for anything. Only thing is, sometimes, my sensitivity spazzes out and I have to reset it. Thank God for Drifter!

i have to say laser/optical ball mice just tend to get stuck and i end up dead because it is either too dirty or the ball just sucks. Right now i am using a microsoft basic optical mouse woo go me.it does this annoying thing that puts me off it where it just kinda spazms and starts wildely spinning on the screen. and it is always at the worst time possible.

It seriously sounds like you never clean your desk/mouse area, and dust bunnies collect and get into all your mice.

If you have a hair or dust collecting where the optical or laser reading beam is, your mouse will freak out.

I've had a hair get stuck on the laser eye on my G5, and it literally just froze. Nothing I did (moving it slow or fast) did anything on screen. So I picked it up and looked underneath it, and yup, there was a hair just sitting there. Blew it off and it was good as new.

I have optical, 1000 dpi. This is much better than ball mouse and laser is better than this so laser is the best.

For a MMOFPS, Laser Mouse.
For a MMORGP, Ball Mouse, Quick and less stress on your wrist for house of play. ^_^

On the same boat as pwnzer and su g5 i use to have an optical logitech mouse which i loved. But someone told me to buy it and it pretty nice i love it now. In school i feel like throwing there mice out the window. And pwnzer NP im always here to help

hahahaha Yeah, I pretty much got every one into the G5.

Just love how much adjustibility it has, and how comfortable it is. I've gamed for like, 12 hours straight, on CS:S, and didn't feel fatigued, using the G5.
