HL2DM Problem

I was trying to setup a HL2DM game for me and my friends to play on, but whenever any of us set up a server it would always create a LAN server, or fail to navigate NAT or something. I couldn't figure out why it wasn't working. Steam wouldn't even show us as in game sometimes on friends. Has anybody else experienced problems with creating servers like this?

Managed to work this out. Looks like for internet games you HAVE to use a dedicated server.
