Left 4 dead 2

So left 4 dead 2 is out next week and due to the recent mw2 fiasco I'm full concentrating on this release.
I have it all preloaded and ready to go (that is if I don't blue screen and hopefully figure out by then what is the cause of it) but anyways back on topic who has played the demo what's your impressions and you think you'll be buying it?
Like I said I have it all ready to go the demo is very enjoyable to me the new special zombies are pretty cool the new guns are awesome.
Graphics look pretty good (playing on max settings)a couple of new modes realism and scvange or something like that. The new items to be found is cool aswell chest paddles, adranline shot, boomer bile jar, grenade launcher aswell incendiary rounds all sounds like it will be fun using.... so others thoughts?
Also when the game comes out I'll be recording a little movie of some of the sp staff kicking some zombie butt to later be added to the new sp streaming video player in Hd ofc :)

ive played the demo and it rocks. the new weapons are fun to play with and the new infected really change the gameplay. also ive noticed the special infected seem to work together now, or at least gang up on you. dunno if i'll be getting this soon tho as i just bought Borderlands. prolly in a few months when the price goes down. |

Demo has been a blast and i'll definitely be getting it! Just not sure when. Should I buy this or modernwarfare 2? Such decisions!! I'm leaning towards this though because I think the online play is much better and will last longer!! I only want mw2 for the single player mode!!

Just my oppinion modern warfare 2 isnt worth $60 a complete console port for $60 is dumb. Ill be getting when price drops most likely or when they fix that stupid multiplayer style.

No kidding! I guess no one in the forums got it. I'll be buying mine tomorrow on the way home from work! I'll post my thoughts this weekend but so far i'm digging the demo. Like the new weapons and new zombies. That cop is a pain in the ars!!!

No i already got it :P I got it when it came out as soon as it came out... Very fun Some of the campaigns are extremly rough on your pc though But the detail of them is amazing. GGraphics are amazing (Mine are maxed out) Lots of new guns the grenade launcher is quite fun ;-) Ive sent demos to be added for all to see not sure if they have been added to the site yet. The finales are fun they vary on waht you have to do. Sometimes you have to actually do something besides camp and shoot ;-) Oh and chainsaw is awesome!!!

Oh now you got me all stoked!! Working a half day tomorrow so i'll be playing the afternoon away :) Other than d/l it from steam, where should I buy it? I'm surprised Walmart isn't carrying it!

If your buying in store just buy at your local gamespot thats where i bought the orginal l4d day it come out and they had plenty of copies. You might get lucky and get the 5 dollars of still (though i doubt it since i believe it was if you pre ordered same thing on steam)

most of my friends on steam are hooked to this now (and i got no one to play borderlands with :( ). one of them did say the difficulty is up a notch and the maps are large. not sure when i'll get this tho as im saving up for a new pc.

Well, my windows XP crapped out this week so I had to do a whole new install. Redoing everything tonight and I picked up L4D-2 today so hopefully by tonight I'll be playing away :)

Okay, that was some serious fun last night! My take so far is that the vs. mode is much harder on the zombie side. Anyone else feeling that? The campaign mode is great, just like the demo. I love the new weapon choices and the flaming ammo is great! Ninja sword I believe is my favorite secondary weapon right now!! Hope to see others playing and posting their thoughts!! And... Happy Thanksgiving!!

L4d2 is on sale today on steam (it seems for everyone including outside of us). Us price is 37.49 (UK price ive been told is £22.49) While in some us stores it is 39.99 So if you guys have been looking for it a bit cheaper today might be the day :). The sale as far as i read is TODAY (11/27/09) only.

I took advantage of the reduced price.
Not sure if I like it or hate it at the moment. The melee weapons are a really good addition, very useful and good fun to use. The other extra weapons, types of regular infected and specials add variety. But is it just me or has it got a huge amount harder?
I normally complain about fps being too easy and play them on hard, but in this I'm considering playing on easy it's that hard on normal difficultly.

I think the vs. mode is different and harder, but as far as the campaigns, i've been playing them on advanced and doing fairly well. Now, today I played mostly normal and made it through pretty much every level, even FINALLY completing the Carnival campaign. We all got stuck last night on the finale on advanced 4x in a row not making it!! Love the swords for weapons now! They come in quite handy near the finales!!

The balance is somewhat screwed today i got 3 chargers within 10 seconds -_- Which has been reported as a bug hopefully it will be fixed
