this should probably be on the TF2 forums, but nobody ever looks there, so here goes...

what the crap is up with the TF2 headgear?! i've seen many kinds (scout baseball hat, heavy football helmet), and i want to know what they do. i've gathered that you get them randomely ( has found the ), but i want to know what they do. can anybody help me out here?

Purely aesthetic, e.g the medics spiky helmet doesn't do any damage if you jump on their helmet.
