Clan I see as more family oriented, less focus on skill and more friendly normally. Teams generally are the competitive side CAL, Cevo etc.

A little High School analogy: Think of a clan as a club, and a team as well, a sports team.

If you have the admiration to play chess, you can join the chess club. If you love science, then there is the science club. Basically anyone who has a hobby in line with a club could join. Very social group of people with similar interest.

Love for a sport doesn't mean you'll make the team. The roster is limited and so only the best are chosen. You'll always be pushing yourself and there will be more practicing then socializing.
