Whenever i watch a video of some1 playing css on youtube or any video website, I notice that their guns are showing more than what I can see on my screen when I play css. Example look at the two things below.



Dont mind the video, just watch the the gun and compare these two images. A partof my gun is cut off when I am playing on the image above. Pause this video at 2:32. As you can see, the whole gun is showing more than the gun on the image above.

The awp, Ak, m4, and etc a lot of the guns I noticed were partically cut off when im playing. Anyonw know how i can gix it so my gun will not get partially cut off while I am playing?

My AWP and guns look like yours in my screenshots.

Perhaps thats a weapon skin that allows that as i notice at the start of the video that his deagle and suchlike are fairly standard.

In the "SS of you owning" thread that Marty started Brianfantastic and my AWPs look the same as your screenshot above.

On my screenshot you can see more of the weapon, could it be down to the resolution and screensize? I play on a 22 inch.

Looking at the screenshot that he provided its widescreen. Im guessing that is the difference.

Resolution is the difference; The gun size is different on my 17" monitor as opposed to my 22" monitor.

is there a way I can change it so I can see the whole awp? Like can I change the resolution/widescreen thing?

On CS:S it's something like Options > Video then you can change your resolution. I think if you change your aspect ratio it will offer different resolutions as well. Putting your resolution on too high will make the game look funny so if it looks right now, I personally wouldn't change it. It could also affect your frame rates.

If it really is annoying you then changing your resoloution is easy enough. Id advise choosing the options that the game has chosen for your system (In your options list click video, then advanced. The options the game has chosen to best suit your PC are the ones with the *'s next to them), using the resoloution it selects and then changing all the other options to your prefrence's Hope this helps.

try to change your resolution to see the differences.

Also are you on a CRT or flatscreen? If its flatscreen, run at its default resolution otherwise its pointless. If its CRT then go for what gives you still playable fps in ALL situations (ie heavy gunfire and nades in a smoked room)

yea....i cant play in a smoked room under gunfire. a lot of people know my comp cant support it so they purposly throw a buncho smokes at me

just go in options--> video---> aspect ratio____ resolution ____.

what is your monitor size, model, brand etc ? Or just look in the box or maybe on it to find a place where they wrote the best resolution for your monitor, enter it and then tell us how you find it. Btw note the resolution you are using atm, because if you don't like the result ( because you'll have to adjust your aim/sensitivity/dpi (optional) /mouse accel (if it's on)/etc you'll want to change it back.
