Call of duty 5?

Well i have read some facts and information about the Call of Duty series.
For one, i would like to say that Call of Duty 4 was a great success.

It has come across that Call of Duty 5 is coming out but not as a modern war game as the 4th one was. It has been said that Call of Duty 5 will go back to the World War 2 stle jsut as Call of Duty 3 was.
This information realyl made me excited for one reason because i like WWII are my favorite.
As well, Activision has asid that they will not make the 5th Call of Duty, therefore, another company will. This is becuase of the struggle between the market. Activision thinks that the market wants Modern war games, where as the second company wants to make WWII based game, and a study showed that the people do like WWII better .

I have Call of Duty 4 and love it !

there has been too many WWII fps games in my mind because of the MOH series and the COD series(except #4) day of defeat as well as day of defeat source along with battlefield 1942.

A game simular to Call of Duty 4, but not really is
Rainbow Six Vegas. I think that is an amazing game..

IF there is gonna be a COD5 i'd imagine that it work take place in the the future; flying cars, food that comes in pill form, teleport pods. that kinda future

Could you have a CS with a storyline? or would that ruin it..

I agree with Death, many games already deal with ancient warfare and its getting quite boring...

i wouldnt go so far as to say that ww2 is ancient. many of the foundations of modern warfare were pioneered in ww2. but thats your opinion and i must recognize that. i agree it is old, and that there are an awful lot of ww2 games already. BUT, as far as ww2 games go, the COD series is second to none. and for the love of my lord jesus christ my savior, COD5 better not be in the future-future. why not just make Mass Effect multiplayer? i really like what they did with COD4, that was BY FAR the most difficult game i have ever played. worse that COD2. and the story was intriguing, was easy to fallow and beleivable. anyone ever notice that there is always a mustache clad british captain named price?

since when did WWI and WWII become ancient?

I doubt they'd go back in time and go back to WWII. Seeing as how every game progressed in time.

Some of the only games I can think of with ancient warfare would be Romance of the 3 Kingdoms and Assassin's Creed....strange. Neither of these games involve any modern wars.

I think though, with the great amount of games out there that have already featured both of the world wars, it may be time to have more modern warfare based games. But either are honestly cool with me.

But going back to "Past" (homey) warfare would ruin the point of making COD4 modern. It would almost place the whole series out of order...
